That was just intense. I've had a few computer problems so haven't been able to read this fic for several days. It was great to come back to such an emotionally wrenching chapter. Fantastic. Gotta go read the next chapter now.

Now I wonder if Buffy is going to jump ship and go into Dawn? A good update-- It's just so strange to see Spike so openly emotional. While there is no doubt in my mind that his character is incredibly emotional, he still likes to keep up the facade of the Big Bad. Seeing him weep in Joyce's arms seems a little counter-character. Still, great update-- If only all in the BtVS world could have expressed their emotions to the full extent-- Imagine the possibilities!

Oh indeed… I understand that Joyce was worried for her daughter Buffy but she hurt Spike deep with her mistrust. The end of the chapter? Left me wanting to read on! I’m really curious.

You have an amazing story here! The things you come up with are AWESOME! I am worried about the sadness Buffy feels, and I know they are going to have a lot of work to do when this is all over. But I can't wait to see how you work it all out!

Oh! You're so good at that! You make us into a false lull, we concentrate on the emotions, and then throw us one line of intense plotty action to make *killer* cliffhanger. If I wasn't so jealous at the effect you are able to make, I may actually get a tad piffed about it=P All the same though, great chapter, and can't wait for more.

My heart broke for Spike with Joyce’s even momentary suspicion of him. Him breaking down and the comfort he needed from Joyce shows how much has been taken from him. Buffy and Spike are going to really have a lot of issues to work out once the Slayer is taken care of. Thanks for the update, I really enjoyed it.

I really wonder what they are going to do..it would have been neat to use the keyness of Dawn...can`t wait for the next chapter

I can understand Joyce's temporary suspiscion...if things had gone wrong, and Spike wasn't in control of his actions, then she and Dawn would be in potential danger...and it is unsettling to not see her daughter there with Spike if things were supposedly going well...and she just got woken up in the middle of the night.

I wouldn't mind seeing part of a chapter highlighting what Giles and the others are dealing with at the same time as all this drama.
