Wow, I have feeling this is going to be spectacular by its ending. You make this more suspensful by the chapter, and you write it so well, that you can see everything in your head as if you were seeing it in a movie. Great chapter!

Loved the last three paragraphs.  They painted a sharp emotional and visual picture.  Loved the chapter and am looking forward to see what happens next.

Aaagh! And you leave us with ANOTHER offhanded mystery at the end! I have a theory...
That there might be a little spike/buffy brewing that the Slayer has noticed within, and she's gonna spring it on Spike at an inopportune moment.

I am sitting on edge of my seat, again. I just can't wait. What a great chapter. What a great story.

Not nice to leave a cliff hanger life that. Can't wait for more. I wanna see this resolved. And was it just me or was there something sinister about Joyce's hangup? Even stressed I can't see her doing something like that. Just what they need. A dominated Slayer and a Master Vampire with two conciousnesses against Council folks. Like I said, can't wait to see what happens next.

It all comes down to this, doesnt it? Although I am worried about this fight, I am more concerned about Buffy and Spike's relationship. The amount of stress that there is between them is enough to make them break, and even if they are mated, i dont want to see that. Once again, great chapter, and i cannot wait for more.

So many levels to this battle. I can't wait to see how this goes.

Something about the Slayer he's not aware of? Now, what?

Buffy really has to remember that fixing Spike's hurt and angry feelings is going to take time. And even when he softens towards her, there are still all the memories of what the Slayer did to him in her body that are going to haunt him for a long time. Buffy will always wear the face of his tormentor. The very best possible relationship would have a hard time surviving that, let alone theirs.
Perhaps she should change her look when this all done? It might help him to associate "Buffy" with different eye and hair colors than "the Slayer"....at least for a while. Anything to not look exactly the same as the being who tortured and degraded him.
