I dont think mere words can describe how amazing this story is... the intricate plot, the characters voices... fabulous. This is the second time I've read Blood Bound btw, and I have loved every paragraph. Again. :) my favourite story of yours by far! :D xox

This is terrific JL - best chap yet. I love the way you bring out the Buffy bad side and get her to admit it. Obviously she needs to cry some more to bring Spike around.

Finally she has come to her sences. I hope Spike will be though on her,but that she will come through it at the end:) An really excellent chapter,I had almost forgot that it startet with Buffy`s sick wish to control Spike. Great to return to that,and make her realise that is why Spike is so angry.Great job:D

One thing that I can say is that at least they are talking. For now I will take what I can get.

Good chapter. I am glad they are speaking to one another without so much anger. I know Spike needed to say those things but in order to reach some type of resolution and for Buffy to understand her dark side he needs to be kind.

I'm so proud of Spike in this chapter.

I did find it amusing, reading the reviews from last chapter, how everyone seemed equally divided into thinking Spike was behaving horribly and thinking Buffy was behaving horribly. I thought you wrote them both quite well, and neither knew exactly what to do.

I like this chapter. They are finally talking and listening. That's good. Though knowing them, it won't last long. Those two could have a fight over how to drink properly. ;)

A very, very nice chapter. And I don't think some of the Spike Haters can get mad. Spike showed compassion, and healso showed tenderness. And he is working.

As is Buffy, I'll admit. Though, granted, a wish a comment would be made about why would it havebeen so bad if she was part demon? She's mated to a vampire. What isthe bigdeal?

UNless she's a bigot. Which,in some ways, she isto demons.

Bravo. All the torture in the previous chapters was almost worth it just so we could get to this point - to give Spike the power he needed to make Buffy realize how arrogant her decision was.

There's going to be some major fallout from this, I'm guessing. Especially in regards to Giles and Willow, who aided and abetted.

I was wondering when the "R word" was going to be mentioned. I'm right with Spike in this. And isn't it just like Spike to try and deflect the emotions of this to try and make things better for Her? I'm not sure I would do that. But, that's Spike.

Also, I have read other comments on other sites and here as well, and quite frankly... I am not sympathetic to Buffy...at all. Maybe that will change as I read on. Now though, I am completely in Spike's corner in this. Good chapter. :)

Very intriguing, thought provoking chapter. You really go right straight to the heart of the matter, don't you. Buffy's really never had to face the darkest part of herself before, has she? That's gotta be tough. Spike's had a lot of experience dealing with dark side of himself, not to mention others, so maybe he can help her with that. If he wants to, that is.

Thank you!!!! Every point of his was spot on...what I've been thinking the whole time...but you know that by now. :)

As for her last question....that requires a long answer. One flaw is that Joyce and Hank raised her as a spoiled little girl, so Buffy has always felt entitled to what she wanted, even before she was the Slayer. 2) After becoming the Slayer, she took that fight instinct and made it a part of how she dealt with all problems, i.e. punching people in the nose just for being annoying. Instead of growing as a human being and dealing with issues in a more mature fashion, she used her fists if she didn't hear what she liked. 3) That constant internal lie and denial crap. I've never seen someone so resistant to becoming self-aware. 4) Enough with the "I have to be stupid because I'm blond" routine.

And therapy for those abandonment and insecurity issues would really be a good idea!! She took that crap way to close to heart, when it really had nothing to do with her.

Letter perfect in every way! This could have been a season 7 conversation for that matter. This is absolutely true to character, not just your story. Bravo!

As to the story alone portions....hope she has a sit down with Giles too. After all his motives were even more frivolous for this than hers. At least Buffy had her deeply submerged desire for Spike at the core....Giles just wanted his bathroom back and Spike out of hs responsibility! For that he was willing to subject Spike to servatude at the least! Then there's Willow and her Angel like holding back of the truth......

Wonderful as always but this chapter in particular is stellar.
