Poor, poor Spike (and wee William as well). This sounds so plausible...both the back story and Buffy's selfish reaction to the tale she heard. This makes me cry with it's honesty of season 6.

awww very sad. Very well written though. I love the line about buffy wondering if she should be jealous of a ceiling. Even if you didn't mean to, this really showcases Buffy's incredible selfishness.

Typical season 6 Buffy. And women complain that we men have no regards for feelings. Good story. I think you porteayed both season 6 Buffy and Spike well. Any chance of this turning into a longer fic?
