Lovely update. looks like even Xander has begun to notice a difference between Angel and Spike....love the vote of confidence.

For being the one who 'sees,' our boy Xander can be a little slow on the uptake when demons are involved. I tried to make his transition believable, and I'm glad you liked his vote of confidence. Thanks!

I like the way the personal interactions between the Scoobies and Spike have toned down from actual dislike to comradery at the worst and actual friendship at best. And go Buffy with the Mayan knowledge. I like that it was something that only Dawn and Buffy understood for a change.
When I started In League With Serpents, I really wanted to set the stage for Spike to be a real member of the Scoobies. Dawn, Buffy, and Spike bonding over their own research was something I wanted out of this fic. I'm glad you liked it! Thanks!

Oooh, lots of high mystical type drama here - neat! I like that Willow is starting to be a little more careful with magic - not so overly confident and casual about her ability to control the outcome of every spell. All in all a wonderful update. There is the fact that you left us with a cliffie - yet again, but I'll be all mature and not quibble about that - wouldn't do me any good anyway, now would it? lol :)
