i like the feel of this story, very dark and kind of a old-timey gangster feel to it....i'm into it so far, looking forward to seeing where you take it :)

It's a very original beginning for a post-NFA story . I'm curious to know how Buffy will fit in it .

Good start - thank you for not having Spike be all mopey and pining after Buffy. That's the problem with most post-Chosen fics - Buffy can move on and screw playboys but apparently it's a downright sin if Spike doesn't remain celebate and forever pining for her, even if she herself is in a relationship. Hell, there's a couple where she's been married and has kids and she expects Spike to just jump on the opporunity to have the priviledge of being with her again and despite any realism that's just what he does. I guess it's related to how horrible Spike and Anya were when they "cheated" on Buffy and Xander, despite the fact that both relationships were clearly over since Buffy repeatedly said that quite explicitly and Xander left Anya at the altar (if that isn't a break up I don't know what is).
