Who Needs Five Gold Rings? by slaymesoftly treadingthedark 12/21/2010 05:40 pm Wonderful story. Happy ending. Loved it. Thanks. I'm glad you liked it. :) 10/01/2009 01:43 am Just read this at work, but didn't have time to write a review. Loved it! Simple and short, but your characterizations were dead on and, like many other reviewers, I thought it rounded out both shows perfectly. Thank you so much. I'm glad you liked it. :) 12/18/2008 05:53 pm This story was recced over on a LJ rec's site, and I'm so glad it was. This is the perfect holiday story, I loved the simplicity of it, and the fan way the story came together. Thanks for writing and sharing. Thanks for reading. I'm so glad you liked it. :) sina rinscheid 12/08/2008 08:09 pm cool story^^ i didn't notice it was spike but i figured it out sometime after the who are you who's your sister thing :9 and i was like awwww >.< i just don't get the cookie thig @_@ mind giving me an explanation there? my e-mails: sina@rinscheid.de anyway, great stry, i love it^^ You don't remember Buffy's "cookie dough" speech to Angel? :) Thanks for reading. I'm glad you liked it. 12/14/2007 02:50 pm Oh my Patti! I've just decided to waste some time rather than do work because it's our Christmas party tonight and I frankly can't be bothered to do anything ;) Decided to dip into your 'back catalogue' *grins* - and boy am I glad I did! I LOVE THIS!! Christmas schmoop, what could be better. I shed a tear, I really did. I love it. *happy, happy Spuffy sigh*. See, why don't people get Spuffy? It's just right...Okay, back to the LOL - I'm glad you liked it. It is definitely Christmas schmoop - but that's what Christmas is for, right? jackofspikes 10/04/2007 01:35 pm Damn it, why didn't Joss have you writing the show instead. This would have been the perfect way to close both shows! LOL - the man just wouldn't listen to me. What can I say? :) Thanks for reading, J. Sensei 09/07/2007 10:36 am What a delightful story! The fact that readers would figure out immediately who it was and then read in great anticipation waiting to find out how Buffy and Dawn would figure it out just made it even more fun! Thanks. I'm glad you liked it. Lynda 03/13/2007 10:51 pm I just read your story today simply because it yours. I love all your stories and when I feel blue, I just go and read one of your tales. You always bring me up. Oh, that is so sweet. Thank you so much for saying so. Some of them aren't quite so happy though - be sure to read the summaries or warnings... sandyrah 03/10/2007 10:06 am Awww! I totally just found this and I LOVE it! It completely made my day. Merry Xmas *happy smile* Merry Christmas to you. 12/24/2006 04:36 am Awwww! That was so sweet. And heartwarming. I loved it! A perfect Christmas fic. :D Thank you. I'm so glad you liked it. Have a happy one! Mali 12/23/2006 11:14 am *ear-shattering squeal* LOL ouch! *grin* I take it that's a good thing? :) DreamsofSpike 12/23/2006 04:33 am that was absolutely adorable...i loved the online chatting between spike and dawn...so very sweet and romantic, a lovely job :) Thank you, thank you. Glad you liked it. :) 12/23/2006 03:46 am Thanks for the early Christmas present SMS. Wished it really went that way. Ebay, who'da thunk? Great Fic. Hee! Thanks. Yes, sigh, so do I (wish it had gone that way). 12/23/2006 02:23 am lovely christmas tale, thanks for the fun read. Thanks for reading. I'm glad you liked it. Shanna 12/22/2006 05:59 pm Awww. Sniff, sniff, sniffle. Awwwww. Merry Christmas dear lady and thanks for the present you just gave us with this sweet story. You're quite welcome. Thank you for reading and commenting. :) 12/22/2006 05:45 pm Very nice. Dawn is a little slow not to have picked up on the fact that it was Spike from the e-mails, but then again it's not like she could think rationally about it. Loved the reunion between all of them, and Dawn's deciding to not be such a brat about things. She was a little slow - I cut her some slack thinking she may not have known anything about the line of Aurelius, and of course she thought Spike was gone, so wouldn't necessarily have suspected that it was him using British insults. :) 12/22/2006 05:23 pm Okay...JUST what the doctor ordered for instant Christmas cheer! Love this and insist that from now on it is what really happened. LOL Merry Christmas to you too, indeed. Thanks for this lovely present. Kathleen You're welcome, sweetie. I hope you have a wonderful holiday! Sarah 12/22/2006 04:42 pm AWWWWWWW! Warm fuzzies all around. Tis the season, after all...:) Thanks for reading. Tara 12/22/2006 03:07 pm AAAHHHHH!!! Bring on the shmoop. I loved it. Buffy saying yes over and over was just so sweet. More, more, more, PLEASE. Hee! That was it. One shot - happy Christmas ending. Thanks, though. I'm glad you liked it. just sue 12/22/2006 12:35 pm Aww! Loved this to bits. Was almost sniffling even though I knew you'd give it the happy ending it deserved. Thanks ever so, hun. *hugs* *smiles happily* I'm so glad you liked it. *hugs* kim 12/22/2006 11:15 am S. Aurelius? The British swearing? Yeah, seriously clueless today, Dawn! I'm much with the grinning, and whooped when she read his message in the box. Hee! That was great! Yeah - should have been a dead (no pun intended) give-away, but when you don't think it's possible... I'm so glad you liked it. :) 12/22/2006 07:39 am I like Christmas schmoop. Especially ones that remind me of Something Blue. Nice telling of an original concept. Thank you - Christmas is the time for schmoop, don't you think? 12/22/2006 07:35 am Oh, I loved it! The first Spuffy ebay fic I've read. I loved how Dawn didn't know it was Spike, but he figured out it was her. I'm so glad you liked it. Dawn was a bit clueless, wasn't she? But, then, she had no reason to think he was alive (so to speak). LadyYashka 12/22/2006 06:21 am That was so sweet! I just loved the emails between Spike and Dawn. Those were great. Wonderful story. It made me smile. Thanks. =) I'm glad it did. Thanks for reading and commenting. :) Dee Bradfield 12/22/2006 06:03 am Very sweet. And very true-to-life, too. I recently participated in a very similar eBay auction, so I know just how Dawn felt. :D Thank you. And, I'm so sorry about your experience - I take it didn't end with the other bidder showing at at your door with the object? :) Aurelia 12/22/2006 05:43 am Very cute. It made me smile. I'm so glad! Thanks for reading. Cas 12/22/2006 05:43 am Real tears! Great Job! *hands you a tissue* Thank you! :) | |||
