Ooh, that was great!! Love Spike in a drunken haze, such a cutie, and then when he realized that Buffy didn't accept his claim---ooh, can't wait for that!! Poor Buffy, that ender reminds me so much of the pain she went through by leaving her mom and friends. She can't be strong all the time, so I'm hoping that she'll let Spike help---somehow? Can't wait for more!

I wonder how Giles will respond to that message and if he will be able to use her call to find her. interesting that Spike was upset with himself for claiming her, and then upset with her for not accepting it. I think he has a little denial regarding his feelings for her. Especially when he's turning down willing bed mates.

that phone call at the end was heart-wrenching, poor buffy...and if spike wasn't so drunk, maybe he'd remember that a. buffy probably doesn't have the first clue about claims, and b. if she did she wouldn't accept anyway, they're still mortal enemies!!!

Well, nobody's happy with the situation and I fear Buffy is a long way from accepting Spike in any shape or form!

Poor Spike, kicked to the curb again. Guess when Angel comes back he's going to be pissed. Since she didn't complete the claim, does that mean vamps can still bite her if they get close enough? Don't suppose Giles has caller ID? Now he knows she's OK. Thanks for the update and reminding me of this fic.

I don't think that particular answering machine message is going to be very reassuring. Can't wait to see what Spike does next.
