High time Spike stopped being a doormat.

I know how much they love each other but maybe it's time for Spike to move on. At least start making new friends and do things away from the scoobies and Buffy. My heart just breaks for him. Not enjoying this part of the story but great work writing it, thanks.

Loving this story an amazingly large amount!! :P I thought I wouldn't be able to handle the Buffy/other, but it's soooo worth it, cause I love jealous Spike :D You've got all the characters voices and quips down pat, love it!! Great update, can't wait for more!! :)

I love the way you portray Spike and Dawn's relationship. You capture her spazzy sweetness, and the way she sees Spike more clearly than anyone else bothers to. Your Tara, too, is lovely. I look forward to your next update!

Thank you for this wonderful chapter! The more I read this fic the more I love it. I even love Buffy dating Jacob, and that he's not a bad guy. Why? Because if Jacob's a decent guy, that means whenever Buffy eventually realizes she has feelings for Spike it won't be because she's running from another guy. It will be just because he's Spike. I also love the pace of this fic. On the show, things got out of hand really quickly btwn Buffy & Spike. On minute they were on the road to friendship, and the next minute it all went to hell. Your pace in getting them together means that when it does happen, it will really be special.

Yay Tara to state what should have been obvious (but props to Buffy for realizing she is self involved to the tenth power).

Poor Spike and stupid Buffy. She has the perfect guy right there (And I don't mean Jacob who is likely to turn out to be some form of demon with human looks *G*)and just won't act on the obvious.

Lovely update. Good progress is made and love the Dawn and Spike bonding.

Great chapter. I'm so glad Buffy realised how tactless she had been when she was talking with Spike.

Nice chapter - a little Buffy "duh!" moment (which, will hopefully turn into something more fruitful), some sympathy for Spike - well done.

All I can say is 'poor Spike'. At least he has Dawn. And I really don't blame Dawn for wanting Spike to be the one in charged of keeping her safe. Buffy better figure out what she really wants with him.

Oh I love it, I wonder if Buffy will finally realize she loves Spike.

I like the Dawn/Spike interaction--very big brother/little sister.

Argh I just want Spike to go off and find another girl and shove her in Buffys face. Let her have boring Jacob and unsatisfying sex and let him deal with her moods.

I just realized I never reviewed this wonderful fic and feel terribly! :) Great chapter, the Spike and Dawn scene was lovely and characterizations were spot-on. I feel so bad for Spike, though! His emotions are excellently written as well, and very heartbreaking. Can't wait for to see what happens next!

This is such a fun fic to read! The characterizations are perfect; Buffy's avoidance of the issue is perfect and the way she simply ignored the fact that Spike is in love with her is completely believable. It's an incredably engaging fic and I can hardly wait for the next update.
