The scene between Riley and Dawn was incredibly disturbing and so realistic. Rape is about power, and your Riley is a prime example of that. Also, the tender moment between Spike and Buffy was lovely. Letting him lie back against her, stroking his hair ... God, why couldn't canon Buffy be that sweet?

I personally always thought *something* beneath Riley's seemingly, good farm boy exterior. That being said, I doubt he'd hurt a human though, especially a minor.
Oh, and sweet Buffy? Well, she was a little tipsy at the time, lol (but she really was, though). Nah, I'm just teasing. This Buffy is sweeter.

Normally I could care less about Harmony, but if she can get revenge for Spike, then all the better. Good for her, I hope she can pull it off. Buffy should kill him just for what he did to Dawn, the sick SOB. Thanks for the update, love it.
Well, he didn't do anything to Dawn, besides scare her. The feeling was there, but he would never hurt her, or a human in general. And Buffy won't kill him, of course. But what *will* happen to Mr. Finn? Can't tell you ;) Thanks for reviewing, and hope to see you next chapter.

You know, I always had this idea for a fic where the demons of Sunnydale unite against someone that hurt Spike.

love a vengeful harmony and would love to see her succeed, but really would like to read how spike or dawn meted out justice. very good update, thank you.
Will she succeed? I most certainly hope so (of course, I know the answer, but I simply can't say). And Spike will... have his moment as well. Thank you for reviewing :D

Great chapter. Pity Dawn wasn't able to act dumb with Riley -- it's upped the ante somewhat. Good old Harmony -- I'm guessing Spike would rather do it himself though!
You know little Dawnie is always honest and blunt with her feelings ;) And Spike, well... will he get what he really wants? I cannot say, or at least, not in a review, because it'd be a spoiler. Thanks for revieiwng, and hope to see you next chapter.

Ugh, someone really needs to take Riely out, what if he tried the same thing with Dawn? what if he tried later on when she's alone and no one to help her? I hate to think about that.
Harmony is gonna get him, I hope. And Buffy and Spike on the couch, loved it. She's kinda drunk now but what will happen when she sobers up? Will she react badly to how they were so close together?
I saw American History X years ago when it first came out. Since I was younger then I know I didn't get the full power of the movie. Maybe I'll rent it sometime soon. And I agree Edward Norton was cut in that movie.

Dawn wasn't in any real danger with him- Riley does have a huge problem, but when it comes to those he cares about, or human beings in general, he's, you know, sane... Thank you for reviewing :D Dawn's no fool, and they didn't give her any credit for a long time. And I don't think Buffy would've been so snuggly had it not been for the alcohol, lol.

Funny how I am liking Harmony in this story LOL. Enjoy Buffy and her uncomfortable comfort too...:::snicker:::... Poor Spike with a Buffy mattress and too much baggage to do anything with it.
Riley has stepped off the edge into the abyss and is becoming as much a monster as if he'd been turned. He always had it in him (that's why those suck jobs were such a danger to eeryone around him) and this feels rational.

I'm getting that a lot- the liking Harmony part. Her revenge, well, I'm not sure how it will be taken. I'm thinkin' it'll be one of those split down the middle, love it or hate it moments. We shall see. It's not in the update though, sorry.
Thanks about the Riley part- I wanted to keep him in character as much as possible. He might get urges, but he can control himself around humans, especially ones he cares about.

Nice progression into some Spuffiness. I enjoyed that a lot. I also liked how hard Dawn pushed Riley. Good stuff, looking forward to more!
Thanks Maggie ;) Yeah, the SPuffy is hard to get to, because I don't want to just throw them together. It'll be a process, and I know a lot of people aren't fond of that, but I'm glad you're liking it thus far.

I loved the sweet Spuffy scene! And so looking forward to seeing vengefull Harmony! She's rarely portrayed as a round character in these fics.
Well, I touch on Harmony a little bit more in this chapter. And she loves Spike, so I couldn't just have her do nothing. I'm glad you like seeing her :D Thanks for reviewing.

Oh this is great, love it, wonder what Giles will say when he comes home to find a sleeping Buffy under Spike in which they both have been drinking.
