This is going to hurt Spike too. He still loved Dru and now Angelus had taken her away, for good this time. I hope Willow can get to Buffy before Angelus gets to her. His panic is making this a very exciting story, thanks DOS.

Here we go...I hope I'm wrong, but I'm thinking that we're about to have an extremely messed up (if not dead) Willow and a Slayer deep in self-recrimination before long here.
(Not that she doesn't deserve some blame here - her insensitivity is pretty staggering. Her refusal to own up to why Angel lost his soul in the first place is also showing flaws in her character.)
Staking Dru was a surprise.

I certainly hope she got a good head start, because I'm pretty sure Angel will catch her otherwise.

Wow- shocked that he staked Dru. Did Willow see him do it? Cause if she did, I wonder why she still ran. Or, why she was even there to begin with- going into the dark, creepy mansion with potentially evil vampire = not of the good. I wonder what Angel will say when he catches her... can't wait for that part ;)

Hm, deciding if I want Willow to be eaten or not...

Whew...tense! Well written and paced chapter. I have to pity Dru (and Spike later when he finds out). Lucky for Willow though because I think it was going to be very bad for her quickly. Much food for Willow's thoughts in what she has seen and heard. Naturally Buffy will not want to hear nor believe.

EXCELLENT.....so well written with just the right amount of suspense and mood.
