I really want to see how this plays out. I like Spike being surprised by Dawn's feeling for him, as it makes Buffy look at how everyone else considers him. Usually he can hide not being used to kindness or such but trying to console her and not trying to gain sympathy from the Slayer are very real selfless acts that have nothing to do with impressing a girl. Will she go through with it?

i feel really sorry for both dawn and spike at the mo n i really wanna punch giles lol hopefully buffy will see what her life would be like if he wasnt around dawn's idea of using both of they'res blood was the idea that i thought you might follow but no you threw it out boo hiss lol i hope spike does live cos i just wanna give him a hug [without hurting him even more] but at the moment i cant see another way of him surviving so hooray for a story that has kept me on tenterhooks altho i dont think ill have any nails left by the end of this lol keep writing i just cant wait to see how it ends loving the work

I am a sucker for well-written angsty stories and this promises to fall into that category, or at least I hope that's where you are going with it. You've set the stage up well. Unless you have a surprise up your sleeve, I'm guessing Buffy is going to opt to not stake Spike. Either way, it should be interesting. Looking forward to the next update.
