WOw, Buffy says I'm sorry? LOL - that's so not canon. Why didn't Spike kill Willow?

Exciting chapter, DOS - the bitter irony of Spike telling Buffy to take Vamp Willow out and the incredible plot twist - Buffy says she's sorry! Never saw that coming. Love it.

Oh- Buffy apologized. Damn, I'm shocked... Seriously! Very surprising, and yet pleasing. Hmm, yes... I get Will's grudge against Buffy, and Angel, but gosh, I wish she'd be nicer to Xander... Why do I have this sinking feeling he'll seek her out? I could be wrong, I hope so (though vamp Xander *is* hot), but... I don't know.

Oh, and does Spike sweep her into his embrace after the apology? I so can't wait to see ;O

Willow has to be the bigger threat. She's a witch and she just didn't lose it when she turned. She can do all sorts of damage to them with only a few herbs and a chant. Still don't blame Xander for being angery at her. Excellent chapter, thanks.

Willow was a good person when she was alive, Liam wasn't particularly. wonder if that would make a difference...Just wishing there were a way to save Willow, that's all. Write it your way - you're amazing! :)

They still need to take out Angel even if Willow is the major source of danger now. GREAT vampWillow voice BTW. You actually made me feel sorry for Xander (and I even understand his anger at Buffy). If they had just listened maybe Willow would be alive.

Brilliant chapter, very bleak and gritty. It takes a lot of courage to write something like this, knowing how most people want to envision hearts and flowers, when your story is much more gunsmoke and bloodshed

It's so much more interesting to have Willow still with a vampire-version of her crush for Xander, wanting to make him a vampire so they could be together like in the alternate world of 'The Wish'. Spike knowing how far Buffy can go, how cruel she can become, and his experience with Drusilla's fickleness, keeps leaving him shocked at the younger, hurting Slayer he is with. I definitely have hope that the intuitive vampire will be able to help Buffy enough that she won't even become what he has described or what the audience has seen in the sixth season of the show- a Slayer filled with hate and anger and disgust. I am enjoying this story, but I look forward to some sweet Spike and Buffy interaction before the unresolved sexual tension blows up into the usual Spuffy style.

Nice chapter, I'm feeling sympathy for all parties involved, including Xander...shocking as it is :) The ensoulment of Willow could be okay, I don't think that Willow pre-vampire was morally bankrupt as Angel was, so maybe she's got a shot. Nice tension building there and the last shot of Spike and Buffy leaves some hope for the future. Thanks!
