How beautifully tragic. I can't imagine just how Spike is going to react to gentle Buffy asking so quietly if they were in love. From what we've heard she was vicious and cruel and hardened toward him and he was in love with her despite herself. How can he explain he was in love with what she was, or now is? Is he going to dodge the question? I really hope not. I'm looking forward to Buffy learning just what Spike has gone through, or remember going through, and still loves her. She might even feel protective and sweet, even if she says she can't love another vampire.

Aha...she asks the right question at last! I think she's prepared for the answer by now too. No Angel fixations and she's already put that soul in its proper place mentally.

Excellent update. Glad Jenny and Giles are working on some protection although I doubt they can subdue VampWillow who's damage bound.
