Yes, I can easily see that souled Spike DID think he was undeserving of Buffy, beneath her. You could see it from the time he returned from Africa...even in LA when he feared going to her. This reaction makes perfect sense as do his fears that once he has happiness so close it will be taken. Poor dear boy!

Spike looked at him in horror. “Can you not use the word fumbling when you talk to me?” I can sooooo see this conversation part! Actually I can see Spike actually confiding in little Andy (who is awkward like William was even if William had more going for him). I think they COULD be friends and after all Andrew was the ONLY one glad to see Spike after he returned in canon (many points to the boy for that).

I guess you really can get anything you want on ebay. Enjoyed the chapter, and can really feel for Spike and Buffy. Now they've found each other again they don't want to lose each other. Keep up the good work.
