Well that was all very suspicious! Why do I get the feeling that Spike knows something he's not yet willing to share? Although staring and leering is normal Spike behavior. Interested to see where this is all headed so new chapter soon please!

I look forward to seeing how the rest of this fic plays out. Everyone seems to have a different idea for how claims work and I'm interested in this version. Does Spike even know about the claim? Did he have to bite her to make it? Can they use it somehow?

My interpretation of the claim is an interesting one. My thinking here is that the claim takes a while to develop. It'll be explained more as we go along. Plus Buffy's not really sure what's going on at this stage.
