Love that Buffy has no idea what's going on! And the dreams/memories were a great touch! Wish we could see more of Spike, get a glimpse into what he's going through, if anything. Ok, just wishful thinking here, but I would love to see Buffy start to feel some of what Spike feels strongly enough that she reacts to it, especially towards Riley. Anyway, I'm really into this fic now, I suspect for the long haul, so keep the updates coming!

Poor Buffy – what a disconcerting (and yucky) dream - not just seeing it but experiencing it as well. It will be interesting for her to see Angel as he was then.

I love the idea that Buffy is seeing some of Spike's memories; that's a new twist. I wonder if seeing herself when Spike's the one looking at her will have an affect on her? Does Spike even realize she can hear him, or does he know she's seen some of his memories?
The date with Riley is being handled perfectly. It's realistic and in character, and Buffy isn't throwing herself at him or in denial or trying too hard. I wonder if it was her own boredom or Spike's at the beginning of the date? It could have been either!
I can't wait to see what Spike is thinking. Good update.
