My mother used to keep lye soap around the house (gd knows why) and that stuff will peel your hide off. Buffy came back just in time.
:D I liked Anya and they were all so hard on her! I know the soap you're talking about and it is strong, meant for laundry and cleaning. But if you reduce the lye content and add fragrances (pine tar, it would be in this case), it's not so hard on the skin. Acceptable in an emergency situation!

The worst has to happen in a story; it's like Murphy's Law. I've always hated the way everyone on the show tends to discount Anya and, honest to God, Xander literally gets away with murder! I just wanted to slap him a little.

Oh God, and now you're going to take it all away from him, arent' you??? You cruel, cruel writer... I love it!!! LOL! Amazing chapter; I love how Buffy took Xander to task for his cruelty; love how Anya got a little vindication too; never understood why they didnt' take advantage of all of her knowledge... dumbasses! Amazign chapter, as always. Off to read teh next bit!
Nobody ever calls Xander on anything and he gets away with so much! That's why I had Buffy slap him down for once. And the show always puts down Anya. I could never understand why the Scoobies never used either Spike's or Anya's knowledge.
