This is really good, but I think Spike, being from an earlier, more lierate time, should speak better English.  It isn't  "enemies who...would take you and I out of the battle", "you & me". The way to tell is could the you and _  be changed to  "we",  or to "us".
O.k., obviously I hadn't finish reading the chapter when I wrote the above. Mom? Yeah, Mom!

FutureBuffy's not going to be able to resist trying to save her mum, is she? I hope she manages to talk some sense into PastBuffy too...

I how things will play out this time.  Will events mirror the original timeline, or will Buffy and Spike change things enough to alter the path the plot takes?  I can't seem to get enough of these time travel stories.  I'm wondering if Buffy's encounter with Angel and her fight with Caleb happened in this story.  She and Spike haven't mentioned it so far, but unless I'm mistaken, that would have taken place earlier in the day.  Or was that yesterday?

so this is during season 5 before buffy finds out that spike is crushing on her and riley is cheating with Vamp HOs

Good job with the two Buffys - maybe they'll learn something from each other.
