The tension between them is done so well. I'm glad it's a result of Buffy not being completely sure about what she wants instead of her acting like a not-so-pleasant Buffy (w/ the hitting and degrading remarks). Spike's reactions and softening to her are great. Hopefully, more good progress is coming.

Lovely, as usual. Keep up the fantastic work, as I don't know what I'd do if you stopped writing! Your story makes for an especially great study break. My favorite line of this chapter: 'When he saw she was serious...that look of awe she knew well.' Sigh, you write a very believable nice Buffy, which is rare and treasured.
I agree- writing this story is a very good study break! :-) Or a good way to procrastinate anyway... So glad you're enjoying- a new chapter will be up today.

With his vamp hearing, he knows exactly how she responded to his looks (racing heart). I'm glad they talked and she didn't hit him! :)

I'm glad she kicked Willow out--finally showed some backbone. Now if she could just sit down, take a breather and think about goals and how to achieve them, things could be a lot better.

Poor Buffy can't see a good thing when it's standing right in front of her - why she doesn't give Spike a chance is beyond me, especially now she's freed herself from Scooby pressure.
Fear not, she will come to her senses... and maybe sooner than you think. Being away from the Scoobies is a good thing. Thanks for reading!
