Buffy's got a lot on her plate, but she handled the Scoobies well.

So glad she sees the horror or it even if Giles and company cannot.  Great character development.  Hope she and Joyce bury the hatchett as I think Joyce could help with Spike a lot while the rest (except mabe Willow) won't care to.

So upset she forgot clothes and toiletries--it HAS been a rough night. I'm glad she saw Giles, though, so he didn't spend the summer looking for her. Giles' response about Spike is such an early season Gilesean response. More about the research and his slayer's safety than about the pain Spike must be enduring.

Wonderful chapter, loved how she was so forthright with them.  Goes off to read the next!
