Oh dear they ARE playing with fire...but fire prettty!
I think at this stage the gang MIGHT be better able to accept Spike with Buffy...especially if he does something to make sure the soul stays put. Xander will still be jealous but accepting in time, once he realizes it will never be him. Giles and the Council are a different story....Giles might come around in time.

Phew! That was close. It's too soon after the nightmare of Angelus for the Scoobies to be anything but horrified!
