Who can resist? Riley was a poof. Sure Spike showed her in part to break them up. But I also think that he really didn't want her to have to stake someone she cared about again. I mean sending Angel to hell was hell on her and Spike cared about her too much. Plus Riley was a danger to everyone. No one would have suspected if he had gotten turned.

she's such a bitch, always blaming him for everything.  what, would she rather riley have been killed or turned before she found out?  typical buffy, spike should have smacked her, chip or no chip.

Of course it's Spike's fault Riley did a runner!  Typical!  At least he got  a snack.
