Loved this part:

“No,” she said aloud. “Just wanna do my sacred duty, you know? I’m Duty Girl.” After a pause, she added, “Hey, you think I could convince Spike to do something evil? Then I could go stake him.”

“I’m sure it wouldn’t take much convincing,” Giles muttered. “But, ah, let’s not go around encouraging it, shall we? You know, if you’re so anxious to do something, you could start indexing the Watcher’s diaries. I’ve been meaning to organize them for some time now, but –”

Good to see her going for counseling.
Thank you! Glad you liked that bit. :)

Well, I'm glad she's getting help. She really should have told Riley about what happened though. Can't wait for the update!
Thanks! I think it'll take a little bit more work to get her to confide in Riley, but maybe she'll get there...

Another great chapter. It didn't occur to me before, dealing with just the act and the consequences and what Buffy's feelings are, but when she didn't have an appetite... Now I'm worried she might have to find out she's pregnant. This story is very real and touching, even the supernatural element of Buffy being the Slayer and her views on souls can be translated to how other women in such a situation would feel and react.
Great chapter and looking forward to more. And when is Spike going to get more involved!!
Well, once she goes to counseling, she'll have to get tested for pregnancy and STDs, so we'll learn the answer to that one soon. As for Spike, he will be back next chapter. :) Thanks for the review!

I'm glad she's giving the counseling a try.

I always thought the group needed it now and again, even if they would have had to talk in code.
Ha! So did I! They should get some sort of Council therapist or something, so that they could have someone to talk to...

this is really an excellent update -  the sense of shame, even guilt, is one of the primary ways that sex offenders use to control their victims - an especially in children.  The feel such high degrees of shame and fear that their parents won't love them anymore or that somehow their parents will be angry - children and women often will burden themselves with so much misplaced shame.  Many times women in exactly the same circumstance that you placed Buffy in will also feel that they are directly responsible since they were drinking -

The scene with Riley and the going to his room is great - perfect use of trauma and trigger.

Well Done -
Thank you for the review! I'm so glad you liked it!

I understand her reluctance to confide in Riley, but not a good idea to be all avoidy with Giles. Good move going to the counsellor, though. As long as she goes through with it...
I think, if it were me, parents (or in Giles' case, parental figure) would be one of the hardest people to tell. I can't even imagine talking to my dad about sex in general, let alone rape.

Thanks for the review!

awww... poor buffy. =( the git who did that to her deserves a fiery death. along with angel the retard and riley the idiot. but that's just because i don't like them. =P
Anyways... great chappie. can't wait to see what's to come.
Uh... I'll have to disagree with you there. I like Angel just fine, and Riley's not so bad, either. Not even sure what Angel has to do with this story....

Glad you enjoyed the chapter!
