I like how Spike and Buffy are getting close.  :)  And worried about Riley and his boys going after Spike.  :(

Nice the way Buffy and Spike are connecting - also good with how Buffy and Riley are not connecting.  Not that I want him to be the "bad guy" but your treatment of their relationship and his hatred of Spike is effective.

Your insensitive Riley is true to character. Why the writers had her stay with him after he'd accused her of sleeping with Angel in LA thus proving he didn't trust her I'll never understand. Likewise I'll never understand why she forgave him for being oblivious to Faith's switch. Proved he didn't know her at all. Glad to see Buffy accepting comfort from Spike. "this was where she felt safe, hugged to a killer’s chest."

Excellent update.  Doing something underhand with his pals backing him up is the only way Riley can operate - bleagh!  Buffy's having a tough time, so pleased you have her turning to Spike more.
