Trouble comes in threes for our heroes, and today is no different than other. Spike is permanently injured by a zompire attack. Buffy has a bun-sized problem of her own to worry about as well. Oh, yeah, and a familiar villain's on the loose and looking for revenge.

Response to challenge #494, starts during "Crush" and goes AU after that. Spike asks Buffy why she won't be with him. The main reason is clear: he's a souless vampire.

My seasonal Spuffy entry takes place in an AU Season Six where Spike and Buffy have established a good working relationship, bordering on a close friendship that is toying with becoming more. Their life in Sunnydale is interrupted by a sudden visit to an alternate dimension...

This story takes place in Season 6, after As You Were. Spike kills a demon in a bar brawl, and his brother exacts revenge. Despite their rocky relationship, Buffy undertakes an arduous quest to save Spike’s life. Will Buffy, Spike, and their relationship survive the experience?

Season Four, what if Buffy had not gotten the Gem of Amara off Spike when they fought? How would the fight have gone, and how might she have gotten away?  What difference might that incident, as well as the Initiative's activities, have made in their relationship? Could/would a vampire and a slayer who hate each other make another truce to join forces against a common enemy? A what might a trip to Las Vegas have to do with anything?

She'd kicked his butt, taken the Gem and sent it off to Angel. Buffy thought she'd seen the last of Spike. Clearly, she’d been too optimistic. That he was in her house, in her room, waking her out of a sound sleep and asking for (okay, demanding) her help meant that something had to be majorly wrong. They weren't due for another apocalypse, but...why else would a vampire make a truce with the Slayer?

Buffy Summers was hoping that when she moved to Sunnydale, she could forget about all of the 'Slayer' stuff that was thrust upon her in L.A. These hopes are quickly smothered though when she finds out that the librarian at Sunnydale High is also her new Watcher. Even worse, the small, quiet town she's just moved to is floating on a Hellmouth. Apparently, destiny has a slightly tighter grip on her than she thought. This story is a series rewrite, starting from Welcome to the Hellmouth. It is built on the simple question of, how would things have gone if Buffy had met a different ensouled vampire on her way to the Bronze that night?


 

Set in Season 7, episode Sleeper then goes directly AU. When The First hums the little song that makes Spike switch from souled to souless, The First issues a command that forever changes Spike and Buffy's relationship. What happens when Buffy wakes up to find that she is a vampire, sired by the one person she thought she could trust the most?

After the "gift", Spike has a little talk with Buffy.
