Quick little ficlet about our favorite couple and their thoughts right before the ending of Smashed. Originally written for another story, but it didn't fit. So, here 'tis. :) Disclaimer - Someone else created these characters. I'm happy he let's us nurture them. Thanks to liquidVamp for being my wonderful Beta.

They could not deny their jealousy. Two people who have everything in common but nothing to share think about the core of their jealousy.

Buffy comes to terms with Spike's death when she finds a bag he packed before the final battle.

Now she has all the time in the world and she hates it.

It is Christmas and Spike is trying to be helpful.

During an AU Ats season 5, where Buffy has died (and isn't coming back). Spike and Angel share a drink in Angel's office as they mourn. Post "You're Welcome," but pre "A Hole in the World."

To meet a prompt at sb_fag-ends - what if Spike had caught Buffy's eye in that club? (probably intended to be set in The Girl in Question, but I chose to set it in the Bronze season 2)  Not sure where this is going to go, if anywhere, but it could almost be a prequel for the Gentleman.... ficlets. Or, it could be the beginning of its own little Spuffy world...
