Thanks so much for all of you reviews for the last chappie!!! *hugs* I haven't had a chance to respond to all of them yet, but it just makes my muse happy that this little fic is bringing you all joy!

Suppose I should clarify, went to school in 70s & 80s. Writing this story is such a fun trip down memory lane. I highly recommend you tube for finding old 80s videos. Will definitely keep you up late and make you laugh.

*hugs* to Meli for her hard work betaing.

Next chappie may be a month in the making, or sooner. Really depends on my workload and quality of what the muse comes up with. Just want to make sure it is good ficage.

*hugs* *hugs* *hugs* to all! Opal

Chapter 3

Dawn stood in front of the blond vampire, blocking him from progressing further up the stairs.

“Nibblet, I see you’ve had a makeover too.”

“I see you haven’t Billy Idol. Since you haven’t that means you can’t come up stairs,” Dawn said in an attempt to keep him from Buffy.

“Embarrassed Bit? Don’t be, you look better than the rest of them downstairs. C’mon, I wanna see what big sis’ looks like.”

Spike moved to finish coming up the stairs but Dawn stayed firm and held her arm out to block him.

“No Spike, you can’t.”

The vampire looked at the teen as if she had grown two heads.

“You know I could damn well move you aside easily, so why don’t you make it easy and just step aside.”

“No.”

“No?” Spike replied.

“No. If you love her, then you can go downstairs and wait. It will be an hour, or three. But if you know anything about how girls are with their looks then you will be a good vampire, go downstairs and keep the others from coming up here.”

Spike nodded indicating he understood, and then returned down the stairs thinking that the Summers’ pout could almost be considered the equivalent to a vampire’s thrall.

Dawn picked up the items for Buffy’s transformation off the floor and walked down the hall to her sister’s room. She walked in and locked the door behind her, preventing any additional visitors from barging in until Buffy was ready.

Buffy sat in the chair facing her vanity as Dawn started to work her magic.

“Thanks Dawnie.”

“For the makeover, oh no problem!”

“That and for keeping Spike out of here. I couldn’t bear it if he saw me like this.”

“I wouldn’t want my boyfriend seeing me at my worst either.”

“He isn’t my boyfriend Dawn.”

“But you like him, don’t you? I mean I’ve seen you guys getting all cuddly when you think no one is looking.”

Buffy was quiet as she contemplated the best way to answer Dawn. She knew she had Tara’s approval, and Dawn loved Spike. Dawn would not judge her either. Dawn had been right; Buffy would have burst into tears if Spike had seen her like this because his opinion of her did matter to her.

Buffy glanced up at the mirror to see that Dawn had stopped working at her hair and had been waiting for a response.

“I do like him Dawn. I like him very much.”

“Good answer, because if you had said no, I was going to butcher your head!”

Buffy pouted at her sister’s response but relieved that Dawn was going to make a conscientious effort to update her appearance. Even if she had to keep the glasses, at least the rest of her would look good. Dawn walked over to boom box that was on Buffy’s bureau. She quickly turned the knob on the radio searching for the heavy metal station she had found earlier.

As the sounds of Cinderella’s Shake Mewere fading from the radio the opening guitar riff from Poison’s Fallen Angel took over the room. Dawn was bouncing around as she started blow-drying Buffy’s hair. She noticed that Buffy was doing the same. They smiled at each other in the mirror, acknowledging they were having the kind of fun that sisters should be having together.

Downstairs the gang looked up as they could hear Dawn and Buffy upstairs singing their hearts out together. Spike smiled as he sat by the stairs. For the first time in a long time instead of smelling fear, anxiety, and sadness from his girls, he could sense their pure joy.

“So you didn’t see Buffy?” Willow asked.

“No Red. Although even though you have the Tawny Kitaen look, I would venture that she wasn’t lucky enough to get the Christie Brinkley makeover overnight.”

“I’m not quite sure what kind of makeover I got, but I don’t think I like it,” Xander said as he toyed with his leather jacket.

“You look like one of the Romantics!” Anya replied. “I bet you still give good orgasms, so that is all that matters. Now Tara, you are the one that lucked out. You totally got the Christie Brinkley makeover.”

Willow looked and smiled affectionately at her girlfriend.

“You look awesome Tara,” she said as she leaned over to give her a kiss.

Anya looked again in the mirror, not sure if she was happy with her transformation. She looked over the ruffled tier skirt, the black jelly bracelets, and the midriff top. She ran her fingers through her chin length, teased hair.

“Ahn, not sure why you don’t seem happy,” Xander said, “But really the Madonna look is very good on you.”

Anya smiled, happy not only for Xander’s approval, but that her ploy had worked to get him to finally comment about her new look. She walked over and grabbed her boyfriend to drag him home.

“Call us when you find out what is going on, for now we are going to go enjoy each other’s new looks while…”

Xander yanked Anya out of the house before she could continue.

Willow rolled her eyes as she could still hear Anya talking about having sex with Xander even after the front door to 1630 Revello had been closed. She looked over at Tara, whom was now sitting on the couch and Spike, whom was remaining camped out at the foot of the stairs.

“Spike, she probably will be awhile.” Willow spoke as she walked over to take a spot on the couch next to her girlfriend.

“Your point Red?” Spike replied, annoyed that Willow would be trying to tell him he should not be there.

“No need to get defensive. I was just going to say she will be awhile, so maybe we should check out the television. I’m sure something has probably changed there too.”

The relief was written across Spike’s face, and he eagerly walked across the room to the chair. He reached for the clunky television remote.

“A Side and B Side, well it’s been awhile since I’ve seen that cable setup. At least it isn’t UHF and VHF.” Spike noted.

As the vampire quickly made his way through the channel selections, the two witches began to get annoyed. They had seen quick snippets of favorite shows they used to enjoy, like Jem & the Holograms, Duck Tales, and Full House.

Surprisingly, Tara had to break the bad news to Spike.

“Spike, forget about it. You won’t find Passions on anywhere. Can you pass me the remote now please?”

Frustrated, Spike threw the remote at Tara. The remote just missed her side and landed hard against the cushion of the couch. The good witch looked quite annoyed with Spike, but she relaxed quickly when she saw his look of remorse on his face.

Spike pushed himself up off the chair and began to pace. He turned back to the couch bound lovers to address Willow.

“This is another one of your bloody buggered up spells, isn’t it?”

Tara squeezed Willow’s hand, as a sign to her girl that she knew that the fault did not lay with Willow. Willow just stayed quiet and shook her head indicating that indeed it had not been her doing.

“I bloody well don’t care who did it, as long as we fix it. It’s bad enough that I had to hang around with the likes of you for entertainment last night, but I’ll be damned if I can’t watch Passions.”

Willow and Tara watched Spike continue to pace back and forth as he continued his rant under his breath. He finally came to a stop and again looked up at the pair.

“What are you both waiting for? This is a bloody apocalypse. If one of you doesn’t go upstairs now and get that Slayer I will.”

“No you won’t,” spoke the said Slayer from the foot of the stairs.

The Jem & the Holograms reference was for Miss Ariel Dawn.Just cuz I like her.

Xander's makeover totally inspired by Lou whom wanted him as one of the Romantics. Eyeliner...next chappie.

I do read your feedback and it is inspiring, you will all be sure to see more in coming chapters!
