One thing that you've managed to do that NO other writer--show or fanfic--has ever done is get me to root for Angel. I can't stand that self-riteous martyr, but he's the ony one in this story besides Dawn who's making any sense.

Don't listen to the cliffhanger haters. It's driving me nuts, too, but only in a good way. Cliffhangers aren't appropriate in every story, but in this mystery/thriller genre, they are essential to the suspense. It's like the old radio mysteries that aired from week to week. Cliffhangers are what keep us all reading.

Please, please let this be a reall HELP to Spike! I can't stand too much more of this torture.

Go Anya! Get him. I'm thinking that with Xander in psycho killer mode, he's going to do something seriously stupid like shoot Anya. Then *Giles* will do something drastic and permanent to him.

Very well written chapter, DoS. I'm so glad to see that Xander is finally about to get his come uppance.

The only complaint I have about your story (and it is a minor one) is that it seems every chapter ends on a cliffhanger. I'm guilty of the occasional cliffhanger ending myself, but to have one in every chapter can grow a bit tiresome. I think the story might flow better if some of the chapters were a little longer and did not end quite so abruptly.

Again, this is just my opinion, so please don't feel I am suggesting your fic is anything less than wonderful. I anxiously await your next update. :)

Anya , kick his ass! And I must say I'm really enjoying Angel (and Dawn) going off on Buffy. And someone should soundly smack Willow for blindly giving Xander magic to play with. The singing demon alone should have taught her that he can't be trusted around magic.

I am not a violent person, but I really hope Anya beats Xander's head in. I can't believe that Spike had to endour all of that again.

Is there a possibility that Spike is in better shape than we think, as you alluded to the fact that Xander felt something was "off"? I'm glad Anya's in the room now, although, I do think it would be more fitting for Spike to avenge himself.

Enough already with the cliffhangers. Can't one thing be completed in a chapter. Anyway, good chapter but please update soon. I think that Spike's wish should be something that returns some power to him. It is time to stop making him a weakling. There are glimpses of the old Spike in this chapter because he said just kill me. It is time for a stronger response from the old Spike.

Ok, by now Spike should realize Buffy's word of protection means nothing. Angel and Dawn need to take over. I know Spike needs to get his fangs back to feel empowered and all that...but how much more can he endure! Time to put the hurt on Xander. More soon.

Well, thus far it has played out better than I expected....Spike isn't totally pulverized. I really hope that Spike can stop Xander on his own and Anya isn't hurt. I do get the feeling that after all the pain and all the beatings it will be Spike that ends up comforting Buffy when she is depressed and down from being such an ass.

I think Xander about to show them all a darkness that would make the Hyena cringe. Excellent job so brightens the day to see a new chapter up.

Once again Buffy's proven that she is *not* the brains in this outfit! I'm so tired of the people around her bailing her out. This was her plan that went bad. I think she shoud pay right along with Xander for being *such* a collosial dummy!

I really hope that Anya is able to deal with the situation and that Xander doesn't hurt her as well. Spike isn't in the position to wish anything, and I don't think Xander would have a problem hurting her, since he had done it in the past, and he's clearly over the egde now. I hope she opens the door so Angel, and Dawn, can take their revenge. Buffy is right to be afraid of Angel's reaction to this turn of events, not to mention Dawn's. Her actions caused this, allowed Xander to be alone with Spike, and she shouldn't get to cry and feel sad for herself in this situation. I really hope Anya is able to do something before anything else happens.

I think Giles may have made a slight miscalculation about wether or not Xander would hurt Anya. Please let me be wrong. Can't wait for the next update.

Interesting Chapter. The angel and Buffy confrontation was as it should be, and nothing should be changed. An interestingcliffhanger, though I sense it won't be that easy.

Oh how I hope Spike is right! Buffy's little rally of denial may cost Anya a bit too since Xander is so far off the spool that he may not care what demon he hurts (he didn't mind when she was human....not only the smack she told Giles about but how about all the emotional abuse we saw on screen as Xander kept putting her down and telling her to shut up?)

Poor Spike! Buffy seems to be more sorry for herself than even him! I really hope she has to work her way back into the good graces of them all (even Giles) when all is said and done. Yup want a Spuffy ending but she has to work for it!

I think the "romance" is over between Angel and Buffy though. She's off the pedastal finally and Buffy had already moved on. The silver lining on the dark cloud.

Excellent. BTW aside from a vulnerable Spike and the H/C Genre your stories are in no way the same or predictable. You are a first rate storyteller hon and master of this variety (a major kink of mine BTW).

Snap his neck, Anya! Just one good twist, and this is over for good!!!!! Damn it, if Angel had been able to teleport in there, we'd be seeing a really good neck break. It was a trademark of his fighting style at one point...

So, I hope Spike will decide to leave with Angel after this. His recovery is beyond what Buffy can help with, with her mentality, let alone be good for him...and she certainly doesn't deserve him. He wasn't ready for this, and now they have to pay. I also hope that Anya gets a wish out of Spike before he goes.

I'm really liking Angel and really hating Xander. Grrr, he's so evil, happy Anya got to nail him one. *happy dance* Can't wait for the next update.
