AU - Buffy just moved to Sunnydale with her mother to attend college. She knows nothing of demons or vampires until she meets Angelus. Angelus is Master of the Aurelius coven in Sunnydale and has decided to keep Buffy as his new plaything. Spike's bored and wants to leave Sunnyhell but his decision has some consequences.

A couple of years after Chosen and Buffy is working as a guidance counselor for both the local high school as well as the few slayers that Giles has put under her care. A new Slayer is in town with her new Watcher. But this Watcher reminds Buffy of someone in her past. Post-S3. Angel and Drusilla are a no show. Meanwhile Buffy and Spike embark on an adventure full of childish bickering, UST and reluctant camaraderie that will change what they thought were unshakable perceptions.

Angelus makes his way back to the mansion during "I Only Have Eyes For You" where the ghosts of old tragic lovers possessed him and Buffy. Angelus is furious at being made to feel "love" for the Slayer again. He heads out with Dru for a "vile kill" and comes across the Slayer who seems to be lost in thought. In his rage he drains most of her blood and leaves her to die. This is not the end of our heroine as Spike, who can now walk (unknown by Angelus and Dru), sees the fall of the Slayer. What will he do? Will he let her die? Or will he give her a new life to help him get revenge on his Sire?

Spike finds out the real reason of why Buffy ended things with him.

In response to Challenge #10 at the Bloodshedverse. Criteria were: Spike and Buffy trapped in amusement park; Spike feeds Buffy cotton candy; they go on either the Tunnel of Love or the Haunted House; they are chased onto the roller coaster by clowns; Buffy is afraid of roller coasters; there are mirrors involved somehow. I believe those are all the “must haves”. This is the first time I’ve done a challenge fic and it’s a little thin on plot, but hey, I wrote it in two days so waddaya want?
