A hundred and forty-seven days after Spike dies in the Hellmouth, a grieving Buffy returns to Sunnydale. Nominated for Best Short in the Rogue Poet Awards and the Sunnydale Memorial Fanfiction Awards, and for Best Future Fic and Best Reconciliation at the Spark and Burn Awards!

Takes place in an AU where things went a little differently at the end of "What's My Line", and the Initiative came to town a bit earlier than in canon.
Spike is not paralyzed in the church that night, but his unlife is still irrevocably changed. In a misguided attempt to restore her childe, Drusilla performs a spell that goes terribly wrong, and will change the course of not only Spike's life, but the Slayer's as well, forever.

During “Forever” Spike comes to comfort Buffy. Also important to note in this version of the episode Dawn went directly to sleep at Willow and Tara’s dorm room. Spike is convinced that he can reach her. And Buffy's misconceptions about this hell she has awakened to lead to a host of problems and heartache. Who will be the one who can guide this fallen angel back to life?

After Angelus and Drusilla die, Buffy unwillingly takes up Spike's offer to join him in a hotel room following their "experience" in the bar... and its not for the free cable.
