Vampires are supposed to dust, not leave an unnaturally still, empty shell behind after stepping in front of their mortal enemy to save their lives during an attack. A confusing funeral later and Buffy has to come to terms with having lost a lover she would never have called a lover or told her friends about, and the one person who made living bearable after being ripped out of heaven. Life crushes her even harder and she struggles to exist at all. Her only moments of escape are dreams that make it impossible to believe that Spike is truly gone.

Ever wonder how Buffy managed to get crazy basement! Spike to Xander’s apartment? [Though not how she asked Xander or got him to agree—that’s another tale, maybe] Maybe how Halloween was spent? No? Well, I answered those questions anyway :P A season 7 one shot set directly before “Him,” and it is (mostly) canon friendly.

AU Season 7. The Summers’ house is filled with young potentials, and Willow and Buffy are inspired to reflect on their child hood youth A certain bleach blond vampire is downstairs and overhears the girls speaking, puzzled by their conversation he comes up to join them. **Definitely Alternate Reality and Off Canon!**

(Idea from James Cameron’s The Terminator) Post Chosen. Buffy’s life was all most normal. She was in her second year of college and had just about recovered from the battle with The First. But then the super vamp came from the future to eliminate her. (Note- I put character death as a warning. But who ever said that death was forever *wink*)

Buffy meets Spike in the cemetary (go figure), a few nights after Smashed. With their first pairing fresh in her mind, Buffy isn't too succesful in fending off her lover's advances.
