Early season five, still adjusting to life with the Initiative’s chip, loathing his unlife, and resisting the after affects of a dream, can Spike hold out against the lure of the easy money? And just what does it take to get him to accept who it is that he really wants - hint: it's not Harmony. The last two of the schmoop fics. These are the ones that filled the card. The first prompt was "anniversary, one partner sick" - I went in a different direction than expected. :) The second one was a free space, so I did a follow up fic.

Something wasn't quite right, but what could Buffy do about it?  She was no superhero.  Season 4, during the episode Superstar, sometime after Buffy and Jonathan encounter Spike but before everyone realizes Buffy's right about Jonathan.
