Written for the good__evil community at lj. The Giles of an alternate universe was shown how their lives went in the universe we know from the show. This happened in their equivalent of late season six. Having seen what he did, Giles sat down and wrote an account of the major differences between the two worlds, and how they came to pass. So he had won. He had survived. The universe was rent open, his soul was fetched from whatever nether-space it had been stashed in, and seared into his being like a brand. And then it began. Season Five, sometime prior to “Out of My Mind.” Spike gets his chip out. What’s a Slayer to do?

Canon to the end of S:1 BTVS. The season finale goes a bit differently for Buffy, and now she has to deal with the consequences. She ends up not being revived as the Slayer at the end of "Prophecy Girl" - a normal human girl again. What will she do now?

Season 2 rewrite.

This is a story in my What If...? series. What if Buffy had run faster at the end of Into the Woods and stopped Riley leaving? What would Spike have done to break them up?

When Spike sees Buffy captured by the Initiative, he decides to go in after her.

"This is something new," Buffy said. "Be quiet and find out what it is." On a solo cross-country road trip, Buffy regains her own equilibrium, and finds that everything is different when she encounters Spike in NYC. Set post s6.

What if Spike was the one to get hit by the invisibility ray in "Gone?"

Season Six, post “Older and Farther Away,” Anya finds the camera hidden by the Nerd Trio in the Magic Box, and Willow begins her search for other cameras, finding one in particular…
