Season Five of Angel

I've heard that a lot of good Spike scenes the writers of Angel wanted to do were veto or cut out by Joss. Along with one scene of Spike supposedly wearing a dress in one episode. Why do you think that was?

I don't know why that was, but I would have loved to see that dress one.  It was supposedly going to be both Angel and Spike going undercover as women, for what I don't know, but that would have been really fun to see.
When I say, "I love you," it's not because I want you or because I can't have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I've seen your kindness and your strength. I've seen the best and the worst of you, and I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You're a hell of a woman. You're the one, Buffy.

I would have adored seeing Spike in a dress, that would have been a sight. He might make a somewhat convinving girl, he's got the build that he could. Angel on the other hand, I don't think he'd be at all convincing. But that would have been a fun episode to see, to bad that one never happened.

Hearing this...gotta tell ya, glad that one didn't come to pass.  We didn't need to see our boys in dresses for slapstick comedy relief--it wasn't necessary.  Joss (IMHO) made the bloody right call.  And I wouldn't call Spike in a dress "a good Spike scene," personally.  Anyway, if you're really desperate to see James in a dress, see "Chance."  He puts on lipstick too.

Scarlet, I love how he got so frustrated with Chance's mother when she keeps calling him Simon when he and Chance have "switched places".  I also loved how he practically molests the mirror!!!   But my favorite part of that movie was the scene with Andy Hallett on the park bench; he laughs, and I just die!

I loved that movie, James was so cute in it.  I cracked up seeing him in the dress, but he would make a very pretty woman.  I wish there was a wig involved.  He was so cute with Amber Benson, and I loved the scene with Andy as well.

What I love about the "I got my money" scene was how James just kept jumping for joy, all through Amber's fourth wall speech.  So exuberant, so childlike, and yes absolutely adorable.  I bet making Chance was nice for him during season six.  Obviously, exhausting doing both at once, but to be able to do something lighter--kind of on the opposite side philosophically of season six--must've helped to keep things ini perspective.

I liked that movie too. I watched it on youtube, and nwo I wished that I downloaded it before they took it down. *sigh*

I forgot I did this, like two years ago. But whoever said they would love to see Spike in a dress. I hope you like, lol. There's Angel too. I'm not good at photoshopping, but I tried.

Scarlet, I totally forgot about that one; what about the one right at the beginning, where he thinks it's Chance on the bed, and winds up huddled on the floor???  Oh, my heart breaks.  And I love the scene with Chance when her mother calls; he does that great evil smirk!  He's so great in that movie; I know a lot of people say it was crap; definitely low budget, but I thought it was quite good for what it was.  And to be honest, if I rank it against Shadow Puppets, Chance comes up on top every time.

Oh, just thought of another one; what about when Chance keeps saying "Where'd you meet her, Simon?" and he's like "Shut up!"; love that scene; I thought they had great chemistry together!

Just want to say...both films, Chance and Shadown Puppets, are oodles better than P.S. I Love You, in my opinion, and no, it has nothing to do with James' amount of screen time.  Seriously.

And I love when he steals the pizza from David Greenwalt :P  Or when they're counting the spots on the ceiling.

I really liked P.S. I love you, James or not.  I think Shadow Puppets would come in last for me.

All of you that have seen Chance - did anyone order it from Amber Benson's site? I'm thinking about it, but $50 is a lot for a movie... but I've wanted to see it for a long time, and now y'all are making it sound good!

And just to add my two cents - I think I liked Shadow Puppets better than P.S. I Love You. I liked James' character better in PSILY, but overall, Shadow Puppets kept me more entertained (mostly by being more mockable). I would never have watched either film if James hadn't been in it, so the amount of screen time (and the lack of clothing) was also a bit of a factor.

I felt Hillary Swank was too stiff, personally, and I couldn't really stand watching her.  Gerard Butler too--it was just...so wrong.  I think James could've done hella better.  Gerard needs to stick to action films like "300," which makes him look sexy and not all...whatever the hell that was in PSILY, and Hillary Swank should stay with drama movies, cause she's fabulous in those (hence all the Oscars).

Oh, and James said he had no idea about the Vampire Slayer comment, so it must've had something to do with Hillary.  But I think it may have been whoever did the screenplay realizing that Hillary, James, that Irish guy, and the mailman were all connected to the show or series in one way or another, or I could be looking way too hard into it...

I think Chance is fabulous, E.  But no, I didn't buy it from her site (though I did spend damn near fifty bucks for that Spike & Dru comic...research.  Meh).  I was fortunate enough to have a friend burn that, as well as Cool Money and Superman Doomsday along with some spuffy vids on a CD.  How she managed?  I dunno.  Nor do I know how to successfully, or transfer it to DVD, so I can see it on tv as opposed to my laptop (if anyone can tell me, give me a shout).  But...we all gotta splurge once in our lives, eh?  Maybe someone is selling it on VHS or something on eBay.  I found this one guy, but unfortunately, he wasn't from the US, so the codes wouldn't work :(

On a sidenote, I think if they took the guitar guy out, cept for like the beginning/opening credits, cause I think he had way too much screen time, and maybe got Emma Caulfield to redo her scene that she was originally in but they recorded over acciddentally, they should try to get the movie into theatres.  It was really well done, and...kinda reminded me of a "Juno" esque film, and that did really great in theatres.

I definitely wouldn't have paid that much to buy the movie.  I ended up downloading it from some site, but it has Italian subtitles, which can be a bit distracting.

I bought mine from Ebay; I had looked into Amber's site, but again, didn't want to spend $50 on a movie, and couldn't find it on a Torrent site; it was my first auction, and I was so excited, 'cause I was winning!!!  I was like "That's my DVD!  I can't wait!"  And then some bastard started bidding on it, and my intentions to only spend $20 on it went right out the window.  So, I paid $45.  Hey, it was MY dvd!!   But it's worth it, for me.  I've watched it 3-4 times already, and love it.  So yeah, E.  If you get a chance, pick it up.  I liked it a lot better than Cool Money or Shadow Puppets; only part I didn't like was the part with Andy Hallet singing; can't make out a word he's saying!!

Scarlet, what format are the files on the CD?  I know when I download movies, in order to burn them into a format I can play on my DVD player, I've got to encode them; they usually start out as .avi files, and I use DVD Santa to encode them to a DVD...  Don't know if that'll help, but let me know, and I'll try to give you a hand.

I thought James did a great job as Lex Luthor, did you?
