Anybody else watch the premiere last night? I'm hooked, at least for a couple more episodes. I've been bored out of my mind most the week, so this is like water to a desert dweller. :P

Next ep is Thursday at 9pmET/PT, then it moves to Mondays at 9pm. Don't know how many eps they made.

Yep, I watched.  It may not be about a vampire, but the previews still interested me, so I decided to check it out.  I would need to see a few more episodes before I get hooked, but I like what I've seen so far.
When I say, "I love you," it's not because I want you or because I can't have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I've seen your kindness and your strength. I've seen the best and the worst of you, and I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You're a hell of a woman. You're the one, Buffy.

I watched the Highlander series, and I used to watch cop shows, so this works for me. I like that there was actually a lot about his personality just in the first episode.

I watched it. I'd give it a few more episodes, for sure; if for no other reason than teh hotness that is the lead. :)

I used to watch Highlander, but I didn't get all that into it.  I actually don't find the lead to be all that hot, but maybe that's just me.  I would still be interested to check out a few more episodes.

I watched it, and I liked it enough to watch more.

Darn it! I missed it. Who airs a show on three different days? Right, this is Fox. Oh well, I'm sure it'll be downloadable by tomorrow.

The good news is that it's staying on Monday night for the rest of the episodes they have.

Wasn't it great, Tammy? Especially that reveal at the end....John's not going to have such an easy time as he thought! :D
He really has great chemistry with people......not the most handsome ever, by definition, but the guy definitely has charm and magnetism.

There are torrents available (I download from mininova.org, which has all three eps so far). There are probably also legal ways to get it, but the Fox website never works for me when I try to watch episodes.

Yep, although, I didn't think that ending would have happened already.

It did seem a bit rushed. But they only have 8 episodes right now, so....maybe they felt they had to? Guess she was really ready to be done with her marriage, though.

Question: If you challenge someone to a duel, and you're immortal, is that considered cheating?

On a related note, there aren't nearly enough duels in primetime television.

I agree that they seemed to get together much more quickly than I expected - I thought we'd have at least a couple episodes of her dithering over whether to leave her husband, although she was pretty flirty right from the start, so I guess she was already ready to move on. Of course, that raises the possibility that maybe she's not his true love. I mean, if it's only eight episodes, it's fine, he meets her, starts to age, cue happily ever after. But if it were to get renewed, it'd be pretty boring to watch a show where he found his true love in episode two. So if the show gets picked up (which it probably won't, because it's Fox), I would bet that they'll be together for a while, and then he'd realize she wasn't the one after all - I mean, he was on a subway platform, there had to be dozens of women around him.

A few women immediately crouched down to help him when he had the heart attack, so yeah....she might not be the one.

I really hope it gets renewed. I don't even care if he finds a love, as the flashbacks and crime solving have been so interesting. Duels should definitely happen more often! And I agree that it's technically cheating, too.....you know you have a BIG advantage over the other guy, LOL.

Preview for next week already shows trouble in paradise, so I'm hoping for some good angst.

I really love the episode recaps and everything I've found on this show, but I don't know how to catch up. Is there any way I can watch the episodes already aired online? Preferably for free and not the weird sign up and get tons of spam and viruses for a grainy film that lasts three minutes.
Mar 19 2008 11:16 pm   #24Eowyn315
Fox has all their episodes online, I believe. You can watch here, although it's telling me I need to install a player first. Or there's the illegal option, which I mentioned earlier in the thread. It's also available from iTunes for $1.99 an episode.

As for the show itself, I'm finding that I'm more interested in the flashbacks than the present-day crimes (he's kinda the worst detective ever). They've got a few clever things that keep me watching, but overall I'm not totally sucked in. It's great while there's nothing else on, but I don't know if I'd miss it when all my other shows come back.

So just started watching, and I'm enjoying the first episode; quick question; how many episodes have aired so far??

Thanks ever for posting the link - watched the pilot  - liked it very much  - I like the male lead very much - One thing that I did find very weak was the idea of staying alive until he finds his soul mate or truest love.
