Gas Price lowering idea??

Mar 20 2008 08:47 pm   #1Guest
My grandmother sent me this and I thought it would be a good idea but I don't have many people in my address book to email it out too.  So I thought maybe.  But if this not appropriate then I'll remove it with my apologize.  But  I think its a good idea and could possibly work if enough people do it.

*sigh*

This has been around forever. It doesn't work. The only way to actually lower gas prices is to reduce consumption of gasoline across the board. People keep trying to come up with simple solutions that don't actually affect their lives, but if you want something to change, you're going to have to actually make a sacrifice. Only buying gas from selected companies doesn't change the amount of gas consumed. It's supply and demand.

one thing that I do is to simply restrict my driving - I plan my schedule so that I do as many errands with one trip - I also stopped going to my studio everyday - when I do go, I spend a lot more time working - and I plan on doing the same with my purchase of food - I just won't buy things like I use to - To Hell With Them All.

” Recent evolutionary models have demonstrated what politicians have long known: the best way to get people to collaborate and to think like a group is to identify an enemy and charge that “they” threaten “us.”

I usually support the idea of a business thriving from genuine sales, but the oil companies make billions of dollars of profit every quarter, just because they can. Pure profit, past the overhead. It's insane. They'd still make tons of profit if they sold to us at $1.00 a gallon, but they won't do it.....
