Out of the original three, which one if your favorite scooby?

I love them all in different ways, but when I think of everything...probably Xander.  And a lot of people are probably going to look at me crazy when I say that, but it's true.  He had a lot of heart, and no super powers or sacred duty. IMHO, it's kind of easy to love Xander.  Did he tick me off sometimes?  Sure, they all did with something at some point.  But he didn't annoy me.  Ever.  So he has to get extra brownie points for that.

Also, he was okay with being who and what he was, which is important, and he was funny, and one of the most giving.

Hey, you won't get that from me, I completely agree.  It's so refreshing to not be the only one that likes Xander, I feel that no one does in the Spuffy community.  I can't say that I can really pick a favorite, I like them all in different ways.
When I say, "I love you," it's not because I want you or because I can't have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I've seen your kindness and your strength. I've seen the best and the worst of you, and I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You're a hell of a woman. You're the one, Buffy.

Hey, I like Xander!  Out of the three, I agree, he is the most likable  and the least  annoying.  You won't  get any flames from me.  He is just so hard to write and have him "sound " right.  That's the only reason he make cameos, if he appears at all, in most of my stories.  I'm too scared to write him, I guess...lol.

I'm gonna jump with the Xander-love-fest as well! I adore Xander! He's my favorite Scooby. He's so layered and so simple at the same time. He's a very nice and flawed person as well. It also makes him more interesting that while he's a flawed person, he's not evil. He's a good guy, one of the very good guys who never went bad, except when possessed, and yet he can be selfish and jealous. I love characters like that, who are a mixture of good/bad qualities. It makes their struggle against their bad qualities to do the right thing more rewarding and endearing.

Good to know there is a Xander lover fest of some kind :P  I'm kind of shocked, actually.

I don't think I could choose a favorite out of these three for the entire series, but I think it would be different if we wrote what seasons of which character we liked best.

Xander in seasons four, five, and seven I thought showed off his best characteristics and his great heart and had some truly wonderful scenes, but in seasons one and two I really didn't like how whenever I started liking him or after he had a sweet or funny scene, he'd then ruin it by spewing out how angry and judgmental and jealous he was.

Willow in seasons three, four, and five was fantastic and a great mix of shy and hopeful and eager and nervous and confident and excited and rambling, and though I understood the storyline how she got that way, a lot of her scenes in season seven felt like she was totally different and not someone I loved like how I couldn't help but love the earlier Willow.

I do remember what I said. The promise. To protect her.  If I had done that... even if I didn't make it... you wouldn't have had to jump. But I want you to know that I did save you. Not when it counted, of course, but after that. Every night after that. I'd see it all again. Do something different. Faster or more clever, you know? Dozens of times, lots of different ways...
   Every night I save you.

Really hard to answer because each of them had their best  and the absolute worst of times - but taking the entire series together I would go with Buffy because I think she had to carry on whether she wanted to or not with the greatest burdens and with the greatest character mental issues.   Buffy was so flawed and screwed over by being The Chosen One and she had to learn how to live and try to develop through all her burdens.  She screwed up totally at times but she also had to sacrifice much.
