BTVS Awards has now been updated with a current list of active award sites and their status. If you know of any other websites not listed on the main page, comment and I'll check them out.

Thanks!

Hi Kat,

As far as I know, both Spark and Burn Awards and Spuffy Awards have not made announcements yet for their current rounds. There is also a new award site on LJ called Running With Scissors Awards, which is a non-pairing specific award site. It can be accessed at rwsawards.

Yes, neither one of those two have announced, and there's been no update as yet from either webmistress about the delay. But, it's only been a month (or so) so I'll hold off a bit on changing their status.

I'll check out the other award site. Thanks for the heads up! ^_^

No problemo!

I actually just remembered another one. I saw their winner announcement a few days ago. It's called Cradle of Human Awards. I believe it's run by Edgehead73 and is a site for AH/AU Spuffy stories.

would like to have some ideas about a Buffyverse-Angelverse Fan Art Awards site - I have been wanting to start either a Series and Saga only site - but thinking maybe a Fan Art Site would be better - there are some many people doing really nice work with very little recognition.

Are readers interested in the artwork of Buffyverse?  I am very interested but being a visual artist and creating work, I naturally would be.

Would you be interested in a Fan Art Awards site?

There were two that I know of, the Sunnydale Fanart Award site and Solemn Graces Awards. The first one, the URL is no longer active. The second I have listed on the BtVS Awards site as being inactive.

As far as interest, I'm not sure. But, I would think so, in as much as writers enjoy the pretties, I would think that graphic artists would as well. ^_~

I think a fanart site would be a wonderful idea, nmcil. I have such respect for our fandom's graphic artists and I'm sure many other people feel the same way. Graphic awards are often included to some extent at general award sites, but one dedicated specifically to that side of fandom is a great idea. You could break categories into broad genre and pairing categories, or specific skills, like Best Blend, Best Textures, etc, since there are a number of different skills that go into making a very effective manip. There could also be categories for banners with screencaps, icons, best hand-drawn art, etc. I know I would be interested. You should certainly pursue it.
