Dark Shadows
When I was a little girl, i would run home from school as fast as I could, so that I could watch Dark Shadows. It scared the crap out of me, but I loved it anyway. A few years ago The Sci-Fi Chanel would broadcast re-runs of it in the mornings, and I couldn't believe this was the same show that scared me as a child. In the '90s they made a re-make of the show with Ben Cross as Barnabus Collins, the show had much promise, but it was yanked off air too fast to get an audience.
Well from what I have heard, we may get a chance to fall in live with it again, rumors have it that Tim Burton will make a feature film starring Johnny Depp as Barnabus, and is slated for 2011. I am crossing my fingers :D
Anyone else have fond memories of the show?

Me, me! I do! *waves vigorously* OMG, Johnny Depp could play the hell out of Barnabas. I hope that's good info. :) I watched the remake, too, but I can't remember much about it. Must have come and gone very quickly.

I have never seen Dark Shadows but Johnny Depp would be a fabulous vampire -

:lol: Yeah, Johnny Depp definitely gives off a vampy vibe. I vaguely remember Dark Shadows. I think I used to watch it on reruns when I was very little. Up until the remake, I remembered seeing a vampire soap opera as a kid, but I had assumed that I had imagined it since nobody ever referenced it :-P It'd be cool to have a Burton-Depp version. Those two work very well together on the creepy.

Guess I'll have to rent the remake - I see the originals at the rentals but there are so many of them -
