Something to read

Patti posted a note to remind people that there are some really good older fics to read while we are waiting for the site to be fixed, so I thought I would start a thread where people could rec fics they liked that newbies may have missed or you may have overlooked. Here are a few of mine.
Willow does a spell that brings an older (Post Chosen) Buffy back into the body of recently back from the dead Buffy. Set directly after Once More With Feeling.

This is a good idea, Lis. :)

First up: http://www.bloodshedverse.com/stories.php?go=chapters&no=6841 <---Forward To Time Past. You never know, there might be somebody out there who hasn't read it. ;)

http://www.bloodshedverse.com/authors.php?go=view&who=85 <--- Pretty much any story by Niamh. Love her Origins series.

http://www.bloodshedverse.com/authors.php?go=view&who=45 <--- Enigma_k's When World's Collide seires. (It's a Lord of the Rings crossover.) I love this series, though sadly, only books one and two are finished.

http://www.bloodshedverse.com/authors.php?go=view&who=82 <--FetchingMadScientist. All but one of her fics are fnished.

http://www.bloodshedverse.com/authors.php?go=view&who=959 <--- Dreamweaver. Though sadly, my favorite, Running Wild got eaten by the site.  Luckily, you can find Running Wild on Elysian Fields, but the rest of her fics kick ass too.

 This is a great idea!
Three of my older stories you might enjoy

Never Alone:  Buffy is packing to fly out to Italy when she receives a surprise visitor.  NC17
http://www.bloodshedverse.com/stories.php?go=all&no=2584

Strip Snap:   Begins at the birthday party when Dawn has everyone trapped inside the house. Buffy and Spike are playing strip snap on the floor behind the sofa!  Quite a lot of sex.  Very NC17
http://www.bloodshedverse.com/stories.php?go=all&no=2533

Cousin Arabella:  Who is the cousin Spike refers to when he tells Buffy she has no taste in men and that a cousin of his married a Frovlax regurgitating demon?    Meet Arabella and my favourite demon, Div'vid.   Probably my sexiest story!  Well for me it was.

Thought of some more :D

Maryperk's Immortal Guardians series (really everything by Mary is worth reading)
http://www.sinful-dreams.com/wicked/temptation/series.php?seriesid=1

A. Lite's God Touched series, it is very long and unfinished, but well worth the read, rating range between G and NC-17
http://www.cryptoffic.com/author/a-e/alite/alite_god.html

Nmissi's Darkest Before Dawn is very good, it has a sequel, but  it was never finished.
http://home.att.net/~lubakmetyk/crypt.htm#nmissi

Terri Botta's Here Is Gone
http://home.att.net/~lubakmetyk/crypt.htm#botta

As for me, I am going to be re-reading the Origins Series, gotta love it when Lawson is used for good :D

I just read the funniest Something Blue fic

Something Bollicked by Sersi & Cylla
Something Blue AU. The spell isn't as easily fixed and a few more things go wrong before it is. PG-13
http://www.catnip.me.uk/bollocksed.html

And that reminded me of another funny Something Blue

I Wish I Were Dead/Something New by A. Lite

Summary: You're invited to the Wedding of the Millennium when Buffy and Spike tie the knot. The ceremony will be performed on the beach 30 minutes after sundown with music provided by Dingoes Ate My Baby

http://www.cryptoffic.com/author/a-e/alite/alite_iwishiwere.html

These are both pretty funny, if you are a fan of Something Blue, I suggest you read these.

I can't believe I forgot to add Wulfie's TUG-verse series before now!

First you will have to read Starshine's The Ungettable Git
http://www.bringonthebloodshed.com/redwulf/fics/ug.htm
Then her ficlet Revenge, Revelations and Rapture
http://www.bringonthebloodshed.com/redwulf/fics/RRR.htm

Then on to Redwulf50's TUG-verse
http://dark-solace.org/elysian/series.php?seriesid=1

This series will have you rolling in the floor, and laughing until your sides hurt

If you want to read one of the poetic and excellent writers in   Buffyverse FF - Ariane is one of the very best.   I loved all of the works and the poetry is splendid, some of it will be featured in my gallery site - of which I am very grateful for permission  to post some.

You are right nmcil, she does write very well, I read a few of her fics, and they are very good!
This reminded me of another author who is also very good, Lizerrrbeathan, her writing style is very beautiful. My favorite story of hers is "Justice, Just Us" set post AtS NFA, Angel is put on trial by the Slayers for the murder of Drogan, and it's up to Spike to defend him, it's Spuffy, of course. you can find all her fics here:

*nods* wonderful rec, Lis.  I immediately thought of Lizerrbeathan when I saw the above post, but was too lazy to do anything about it.  My fav of hers is Ado, Adieu, I Do (I may have the order backwards); of course, The Book of William was well worth the wait for it.  It's a big committment in time, though.  She has a wonderful very short fic called "Kissed Awake" that is very bittersweet and touching, also.

Great to have this wonderful Buffyverse FF writer introduced to a new reader - I love this writer - excellent work

Thanks Spikez_tart for the fun Spuffy recommends - I miss a lot of the "fun side of Spuffy"

Ran across an old but excellent short Spike Study regarding his Slayer Killing era - not how a lot of us like to think or remember Spike, but it is a vital part of his history.  While I love this short Spike study, it is given with a sad aside - Melville was one of our members at The Buffy Buffet, a wonderful and very active board while the both series were airing - like so many of the outstanding Buffyverse sites, we gradually lost of members once Angel left TV.   They were several FF writers in our group - Hope you give this one a try - think you will like it - it was great finding it after all this time at the Better Buffy Fiction site.
