Possession?

Has anyone heard any updates on the Sarah's movie Possession?  It just occurred to me when I was listing who I would vampify (and who I would want to Vamp me) from another thread that I had Lee Pace on it.  He's in the movie and this movie looks incredible!  I so want to see it!  Has anyone seen or heard anything on this movie?

More bad movie news for Sarah:

Yari's Woes Threaten 'Assassination of a High School President'

Filed under: Comedy, SXSW, Noir, Distribution

As SXSW approaches -- my flight leaves seven hours from this writing, at an ungodly 5:47 a.m. -- comes the news that a well-received alum of last year's festival is in danger of not seeing the light of day.

Fledgling distributor Yari Film Group was forced into bankruptcy last December. Though YFG continues to operate, at least nominally, all of their planned 2009 releases -- the Sarah Michelle Gellar thriller Possession, the Joe Carnahan-directed Pablo Escobar biopic Killing Pablo, the star-studded caper flick The Maiden Heist -- were left in an uncertain limbo

Here's a Synopsis of the movie.  Apparently, its a retread of an Asian movie.

Jess (Sarah), a woman whose life turns surreal after an automobile accident leaves both her husband Ryan and her brother-in-law Roman in a coma. Things take an even darker turn when Roman wakes believing that he is Ryan. As Jess tries to deal with these increasingly disturbing events, she also struggles with the possibility that either the spirit of her husband has returned to her or that something very sinister is at work.
If we want her to be exactly she'll never be exactly I know the only really real Buffy is really Buffy and she's gone' who?

That's kinda old.  I did some more checking cuz I do think this movie looks good.  Yari Film Group seems to be in some financial stress, which I found odd considering they have some huge movies backing them.  But that could also mean other issues are pushing the dates even further up.  Last I heard Possession was coming out direct to DVD on 12/31/09.  Crossing fingers for that because that is the second push up date.  My guess?  If not this year definitely sometime next year.  Don't quote me on this but 'apparently' from what I have heard in my job the recession is looking better now.  Looks like a more cheerful outlook?  Lets hope.  I bet this is what is effecting even the movie industry.  Movies have been pushed up on account to this.

Just had a mildly humorous thought Mother nature seems to be 'playing nice' interestingly enough.  Could the weather know that we were in trouble?  I'm telling you it's not normal that a summer in NY has been very mild and more rain than I have ever seen, lol..Just so off topic lol...Funny how things just seem to meld into each other.  It would suck if the weather decided to kick us in the bum and play naughty.  Just a thought lol...I so probably didn't make much sense but gotta love a rainy dismal boring day!  Back to work.
