Length of Spike and Buffy's affair in S6?

How long is it from 'Smashed' to 'As It Were'?  I've been told all sorts of things from 6 weeks to 3 months.  In 'Dead Things' Willow mentions that she hasn't done a spell in 32 days - so from 'Wrecked' when she kills that demon she conjured to 'Dead Things' should be 32 days.  There's nothing in either 'Older and Far Away' or 'As It Were' to specify how much time has passed till then, though Xander does mention in 'As It Were' that the wedding is a week later, so 'Hell's Bells' would be a week after 'As It Were'.  If one guesses a week between 'Dead Things' and 'Older', and another week between 'Older' and 'As It Were', one gets 46 days, so the 6-7 weeks estimate seems the most accurate.  Does anyone have a more precise time?  Thanks! :)

What is Buffy's birthday? that should give you the date for Older and Far Away - Spike still has a very bruised face for the birthday party.

Going by air dates (cause in various eps, more than a day passes), it was actually 147 days.  Last I checked anyways.

ETA:  That number is not from "Smashed"...that's more like three months abouts.

That's more along the lines of what I thought, Scarlet.  Three to four months.  But I've never tried to actually figure it out exactly.

Airdates are here: http://www.twiztv.com/scripts/buffy/#season6

Yeah, I go by the airdates.  The episodes themselves are unreliable, since days can pass in those forty-two minutes or so :)

Airdates don't work out properly.  'Wrecked' aired on Nov. 27, 2001 and 'Dead Things' on Feb.5, 2002 - some 70 days later.  But Willow specifically says 32 days without spells in 'Dead Things'.  Buffy's birthday is Jan. 19, 1981 per Joss, but 'Older and Far Away' aired Feb. 12.  And there's nothing to say when exactly 'As It Were' happened.  The only reason I asked is because I've used both 6 weeks and 3 months in my stories and people objected, sooo...I just wanted to get a consensus!  :)

Well, as for what Willow said...Doesn't Amy come in and give her a dose at some point before DT?  Am I remembering that wrong?  If not, that could explain her 32 days.

And "Doublemeat Palace" is when she does it, so...what's the dates for that?

This comes to mind, but I'm not sure how helpful it will be.

As You Were aired Feb 26th. Hell's Bells March 5th. At least from the weather shown, since I live in SoCal, those dates jive with probably when the episodes take place. It rains in HB, and our rain is done by the end of April at the latest.

Assume that Buffy's birthday is shown in Jan 19th, and wedding comes by mid-March. That should be fine. I've known 2 couples that married in March, so it's not uncommon (both ended in divorce, so I wouldn't say the month is blessed, LOL).
What If I'm Not the Slayer? now updated with chapters 22 and 23.

I forgot about Amy's dose, Scarlet!  But 'Doublemeat Palace' aired on Jan. 29, 'Dead Things' Feb 5, so the 32 days still wouldn't match.  However, 3 months for their affair seems to be how everyone sees it, so I'll use that from now on.  Thanks loads, guys!  :)

According to Dawn and Sam in transcript of AYW, it has been a year that Riley left - Sam tells Buffy that it took the huge amount of time of one year for Riley to get over Buffy and Sam and Riley are married 4 months during AYW.

Hee,nmcil - Yeah, that has always made me giggle.  Gee, he was so hung up on Buffy it took him a whole 8 months to be in love with and married to someone else? Wow. A romance for the ages, that was. *shakes head*
