A Buffy Christmas Carol

A few days ago, I watched "Mickey's Christmas Carol" and today I watched "A Muppet Christmas Carol." It got me thinking...What if there was a BtVS Christmas Carol? Who would you cast in each role and why? Whether it be because those characters' personalities match or you just think it'd be hilarious :-D

Holly has a really good "Christmas Carol" variation - but she uses primarily only Buffy in a loose connection to Scrooge and the three spirits are Doyle, Glory and an idealized third ghost.

With an entire telling of the story I would, in Season Six I would use:

Buffy - Scrooge
Spike - Bob Cratchit  Buffy - Mrs. Cratchit post spirit reclamation
Dawn - Tiny Tim
Tara -  Fred and Jonathan his wife (thinking personality not gender)
Tara - Fan and Belle
Anya - Jacob Marley & Joe
Clem -  Fezziwig
Xander - Topper
Xander - Ghost of Christmas Present
Joyce - Ghost of Christmas Past
Giles  - Ghost of Christmas Future

I remember that fic! I really liked it. Holly always writes great stuff.

Clem as Fezziwig, LOL! I love it!

Buffy would definitely be one of my top choices for Scrooge. Xander is another one, but it'd obviously go in a different direction then a Buffy/Spuffy focused Christmas Carol. Anya would be my third choice, just because of the whole money-loving aspect. Plus genderbending the characters would be hysterical.

My two favorite versions!

Yeah, Buffy's definitely a Scrooge potential.....just gets more and more negative with time and less social and nice.

maybe this should be the year that I watch the Muppet version - My Holiday Season begins every year with watching the Geroge Scott and Patrick Stewert versions of A Christmas Carol - I hate that I lost one of my audio tapes from Stewert's reading of this story - it is excellent.

Yeah, I love those, too. I'll watch just about any version on the Christmas Carol.
