Finding a fic...

Looking for a story I read ages ago.I don't remember much only the main points. The story starts in Season 2 but is AU. Instead of Spike and Drusilla its Spike and Buffy. Buffy's a vampire and is the Slayer of slayers while Spike is the crazy one. Drusilla does not exsist in these story. I THINK Buffy's in Sunnydale looking for a cure for Spike and Angelus is Buffy's sire...maybe...okay that part with Angelus thing I think i might have pulled it out of another story!

Sorry but I've never read a story like what you've described so I can't help you, but I need help finding a fic too. It was written by Holly (and in the case of there being multiple Hollys, Hollies..you get the idea) who wrote Writing on the Wall, Dreamscape, etc. It starts out in Season 2 during the Halloween episode when Buffy turns into her past self from a past life and recognizes Spike as William, the vampire she mated too in that past life. She bargained with some King of Hell in exchange for Spike being alive again. For the life of me I can't remember the name of this fic, nor can I find it anywhere under Holly's name. Didn't even see it on her website. Now was she not the person who wrote it and I'm looking in the wrong spot or did the story get taken down???

I don't know it, Belle, but it sounds intriguing.  Post the name and link to it here if you ever find it, and I'll check back now and then to see if it's here.  Good luck with your search; I know how frustrating it is to lose a story you want to reread.

Belle, the story is called Echoes, but it was taken down and turned into original fiction.  You can try contacting Holly and ask if she could send it to you.  I think she has done that before, but I don't know for sure.
When I say, "I love you," it's not because I want you or because I can't have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I've seen your kindness and your strength. I've seen the best and the worst of you, and I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You're a hell of a woman. You're the one, Buffy.

Er..what does that mean to be turned into original fiction? I've never heard that before.

Nevermind! I just figured it out and found the book she turned that story into. Thank you for reminding of the title though!
