I'm pleased that people want to use the forum for finding their favorite fics, or to seach for fics they think they would like to read. However, could we perhaps limit those searches to one or two threads? One for fics that might well be found on this archive, and one for the AH ones, which certainly will not. I think we have had six separate requests for AH fics on the forum in the past 24 hours.  There is no reason why we can't have a thread for AH fic searches (this could start it). Then the rest of the forum entries wouldn't get shoved off the page by entries that could easily be lumped together.  Single requests for individual fics might be more suitable for the chat, although I have no objections to having them on the forum. Just all on one thread, if you don't mind. I will be happy to ensure that the thread gets bumped up frequently so that it's easy to find.

*nods* I tried to resist saying "check somewhere else". A site that does not archive AH fics seems an odd place to ask about them, but I know many of our members read them, so I guess it's fair. This recent spate of them, though, is just taking up too much space and pushing other things that members may be more interested in (or actually need to know about) off the forum updates list.

Glad that you are asking people to post on established threads - it makes it easier for all members to find works and to respond with information.

Yeah, it seems like spam to get all these request posts even if that's not the intention.

Bumping again, and reminding people to please use the established threads for fics searches. Saves space and probably reaches more people who may know where to find the one you're looking for.  Thanks.

Bumping again and reminding people that this thread is just a courtesy for our members who also read AH fics. It does not mean that the BSV has changed its policy and is now accepting AH fics. No point in submitting them here. Just so you know...
