What I remember is vague, so bare with me!!

OK, so I remember in the beginning of the story, it was set a thousand years ago and Buffy is called Elizabeth and Spike is just William. Spike gets killed by her watcher with an arrow (who is not Giles) and Buffy makes a deal with a demon to save his life, I think?
And then, she's reincarnated in the future as Buffy, and when she wears her halloween costume she remembers her past life with Spike. And I then in the end she gets turned?

Don't know if this will help at all but something else I remember was that buffy painted a picture of the sun in William's house?
