A Multi-Author Series

Sep 19 2011 04:35 am   #1BloodEnvy
In "After Life", Spike says that he imagined ways he could have saved Buffy in "The Gift". ("...dozens of times, lots of different ways..."), and after writing my ficlet "One Hundred Days" I thought it would be cool to do a multi-author series posted in one fiction as chapters showing these ways he imagined. It would show how many ways as well as the work of so many authors here on BSV, and it would be amazing to get 147 of them... just like Spike's imagination!

Rules/Criteria would be as follows:
1. Each chapter would be 1,000 words.
2. Authors can write more than one chapter if they wish, and each one would be labelled as their work as the Chapter heading.
3. The story would be posted in my account, but I WILL NOT claim anyone else's work.
4. If you have one to go, send them to my private account mail or ask for my email address in PM andI will send it to you so you can send it there.

This would be really interesting to do, so I would love to get everyone's imput.
Thanks =]

I am not a writer, but speaking as a reader, this sounds like a really great project - one that I would love to read - Hope you get writers to join in the project.

That's called a Round Robin, and we did one many years ago called " End of the Bloody Line".  So, there already is a place for a fic like that. It's called "BSV Projects" and you can find it under "authors" in the "B" section.  You can also find the fic listed under  End of the Bloody Line."  If you want to organize another round robin, I suggest you put the chapters under the projects so that the fic will be easy to find in the future. You would want to put your own email addy on the initial post somewhere so that authors would know who is posting the chapters. Or, it may be that you can arrange it so that any listed author can post.  I think you'll find that you get a more coherent fic if you ask who is participating and make a listed schedule of who is doing what chapters.  That way, everyone knows there aren't several people doing the same thing or trying to post on the same day.
It would be great fun to see another one of these fics go up.  I hope you get plenty of writers for the project!

Okey dokey. Thanks guys. =] My email for all those authors interested is oh.bloody.hell@hotmail.com. If you send them to me, I'll make sure we aren't all writing the same things and post them so it flows properly =] Thanks.

Highly intriguing! If work settles down in the next few days I'll try to think of something...

Hi guys. I'm sorry to say that I have gotten next to no interest in this project, with only one writer coming forward with a chapter (If you see this, my email crashed and I lost your address, but you should definitely post it as a one shot, it was brilliant.) So I think this going to be discontinued.

Sorry to anyone who was looking forward to it.

Oh, that's a shame. I'm sorry, BloodEnvy. I guess we don't have quite as many involved authors as we did back in the day.
