Shadow Puppets!

Mar 15 2007 12:17 am   #1Scarlet Ibis

 From JM's official site:

Michael Winnick, Director of "Shadow Puppets", has kindly sent an update on the
movie. Michael writes:

The film is closing the 25th Annual Brussels Festival of Fantastic Film (BIFFF)
on April 16th!

And thanks to all of the fan support, in early summer, there will be some
limited theatrical screenings. I don't know all the details yet, but the film
will definitely play in Los Angeles. And at the end of the summer, there will
be a large DVD release. Hope all is well and thank you again for all of your
support!

Sincerely,
Michael Winnick

I hope it plays in Atlanta then.... but probably not. Sometimes we get "limited releases" but a lot of the time, not.

Unfortunately, we had big vampires in the next room, and I didn't think they'd wait while we had hot monkey sex. ~Cerulean Sins :: (Anita to Jean-Claude)“Is there anything your bloodline does that doesn’t involve getting naked?" ~Danse Macabre :: I’m dating three men, living with two more, and having occasional sex with two others. I'm sure they'll try for any major markets that are receptive, but it's been a tough road just getting the film this far. I'm so excited to see it, though!

LA!! Woot!! I'm going to that if I have to start walking 3 days in advance!

If they can put out the crap that they usually put out in the horror genre, why not this film? Like that one with those puppets, a very recent one on a very long list.  It seemed to not be shooting for gratuitious gore, and actually catering to the story.

And in the air the fireflies
Our only light in paradise
We'll show the world they were wrong

Dead Silence is the movie with the dead lady and her dolls. :::shudder::: I won't be seeing that movie, ever. Dolls are creepy and on top of that one of the dolls is a clown doll. I don't like clowns.

Of course I probally won't see Shadow Puppets either. Though I do hope it does well.

Oddly enough I'm not a big fan of horror movies. Most have to much blood and gore and not enough of a story line. Also a lot of movies have the idiot girl in her underwear going outside, at night, with a killer/monser on the loose, to see what the "noise" was.

Also, I'm a great big sissy. :D

"Freddy vs. Jason" and "Final Destination" aside, the horror-ish movies I love are old- "Misery" and "The Shining..."  I hope SP does well in California, so I can see it here (Chicago).  I mean, it has Tony Todd, who made his mark in horror films.  Why can't it go national, damn it?

I'm a wimp but I also just have to remind myself its not real... all the blood is really corn syrup and that gore is rubber and stuff. It helps.
