Hogwart Houses and BTVS

Zodiac signs were done.  So, which of the Hogwart houses do you see the BTVS/ATS characters in?

Spike is definitely Slytherin, but I see prevamped William as Ravenclaw.  After Spike got the soul back, I'm not so sure.  He's absolutely more Gryffindor then, IMO.  Anyone else?

I've only seen one Harry Potter movie and never read any of the books, so this time I'll have to sit this one out, lol.

And in the air the fireflies
Our only light in paradise
We'll show the world they were wrong
And teach them all to sing along

Spike's a Slytherin even s7. You don't have to display the traits all the time. You can have slip up's. Willow'll be in Ravenclaw. Giles, Cordelia, and Angel will be Slytherins. They're cunning and maupilative. I've always felt that Slytherin wasn't the house of the evil, just of those who knew what they wanted and how to get there. Xander'll be in Hufflepuff. Andrew too. He was always loyal to his friends. It was his twisted loyalty to Warren that made him kill Jonathan. Dawn...I don't know. Buffy and Oz would be Gryffindors. Tara would be in Gryffindor, she's got Neville like characteristics. Wes in Hufflepuff and Fred in Ravenclaw. Anya in Hufflepuff (Chosen showed that she'd die for friends, see loyalty). Faith's a Gryffindor. She's got Slytherin like traits but so did Harry. In the end she's a slayer and warriors are always brave above all else.

It's a secret no one tells
One day it's heaven one day it's hell
And it's no fairytale take it from me
That's the way it's supposed to be

You will fly and you will crawl
God knows even angels fall
No such thing as you lost it all
God knows even angels fall

Wes is a lot like Hermione, though...

Omg, we did this in an rpg, heehee. Dawn pointed out that Buffy was harry, willow was hermione, and xander was ron. Then everyone got in on it and decided Giles was dumbledore... and forgot who Faith was since I know she was there for the convo... then of course Anya got all hissy cause they were using "human" references that she didn't get and demanded to know who she was, so they all shared a look and went "Luna" lol

Unfortunately, we had big vampires in the next room, and I didn't think they'd wait while we had hot monkey sex. ~Cerulean Sins :: (Anita to Jean-Claude)“Is there anything your bloodline does that doesn’t involve getting naked?" ~Danse Macabre :: I’m dating three men, living with two more, and having occasional sex with two others. That’s seven men. I’m like a pornographic Snow White. I think seven is plenty. ~Danse Macabre

I don't know if you guys have ever read any of the Buffy academia out there... I bought this book "Why Buffy Matters" by Rhonda Wilcox...

(Slight tangent - was in this sci fi bookstore in Sydney whilst down there for a friends birthday and spent like two hours mesmerised by having all of the Buffy novels and the books about Buffy by independent academics in one place... I picked this one because it has a whole chapter about Spike and his redemption so I knew the author wasn't going to be one of those biased "Buffy and Angel smoochies forever" morons....)

Anywho there is a whole chapter dedicated to how Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the Harry Potter series are aligned... and this section of the book discusses the part of Harry where Dumbledore is telling Harry that despite his having Slytherin like attributes, it put him in Gryffindor because he CHOSE to be in Gryffindor... this could be aligned with Spike's CHOOSING to have the soul kinda thing. Also this is similar to Faith's 'redemption.'

Interesting subject.  I'll have to think about it for awhile.

I live in Boonywonkers.  I knew there were Buffy novels out there, but I tend to shy away from them because they tend to be more Bangel based.  I had no clue that there were books by independent academics out there.  Sounds fascinating.

Maryperk - check this out.  Rhonda Wilcox, David Lavery and friends are the total Buffywankers in academia.  Lots of good stuff.

Afraid to admit that I haven't read any of the Harry Potters, but I always thought of the group as a take off on the Wizard of Oz.

Buffy = Dorothy; Xander = Cowardly Lion; Willow = Scarecrow and Giles for the TinMan.

If we want her to be exactly she'll never be exactly I know the only really real Buffy is really Buffy and she's gone' who?

LOL@ this topic.

Willow is like HErmione, because Hermione says in one of the books that the Hat considered her for Ravenclaw, but put her in Gryffindor. that's how i see Willow.
